Cheats Herb Gravy

Bored with the plain flavours of Gravox?
Here is a simple modification – you can create any flavour you like!
You will need:
1 x quantity of gravy mix
1 x mixed herbs (or other, see below for suggestions)
Saucepan, whisk or fork
What to do:
Begin making the instant gray as usual.
Add 1 x teaspoon of herbs to the gravy mix.
Heat gravy mix as usual adding more or less herbs to taste.
The same is to be done with water to make you gravy a thicker or thinner consistency.
Technical modifications:
You can use a variety of instant gravies; these are used as a base for easy use.
I even use home brand gravy, which costs around $1 a pack and lasts for ages.
There is also some very nice Gluten free gravy mixes.
The flavor is completely under your control. Here are some ideas:
Pre- mixed herbs such as: mixed herbs, Italian herb mix, French herb mix, Greek herb mix and so on.
Fresh parsley is very nice for most meals.
Rosemary goes well with lamb
Sage goes with veal, pork and egg dishes.
Chili goes with everything!! You can use chili as a flavor enhancer, it doesn’t have to be used to create heat. To use it without adding lots of heat, just reduce the quantity, it really does work.
Cracked pepper and salt can be used on their own or mixed with other herbs.
Adding your own flavor is not only heaps cheaper, but is always nicer when you do it yourself.
The only lilmits with having awesome flavoured gravy is your imagination.
