Do you miss me?
is the question you asked
If I say yes
what will that solve?
Will you call me more often
or send me a card?
Will you text me hello
When I enter your thoughts?
Will you share your day
In your own special way
Or lapse into silence
Then fade away?
I guess before I answer
I've a question to pose
Is your reason for asking
just to open my nose?
To throw me off balance
or put me on the spot
the question seems amiss
right out of the abyss
Do you want to know
because you...miss me too?
Or simply because
you miss me...missing you?
