February 6th 2009 14:25
When you get a call from the company you applied for you can do the following:
1) Ask as many questions as you can think of and write the answers down so you can read over it again later.
If you like the vibe the person has over the phone proceed with more questions. If they are vague with actual answers
and are dodgy with disclosing information follow your instinct and don't go to the interview.
2) If they aren't straight forward with you, give it up!
3) Ask if the pay is salary, hourly or commission based.
4) Ask what kind of work place environment it is; whether its outdoors, office, shop etc.
With referree Letters
If you can include themwith your resume makes sure it respresents the best qualities you have and if its appropriate
for the job you're looking for. Generally they can be 5 - 7 years old anything older then that is probably obselete. Always
give them a copy not an 'original'.
Questions and a willingness to learn is an asset use it.
Jobs that have ended less an amicably do not include in your resume.
the key thing is to tell them what they want to hear. Clues for what to say is in the job ad.
RESEARCH and KNOWLEDGE in the industry will help your chances.
In the waiting room of the interview
stay calm
have a book to read
or, sit quietly (asset)
Your behaviour is being monitored as well as your dress sense.
