I agree on that the novels that anne rice wrote are way better yes, I very much enjoyed reading them :]
but the movie still belongs in my fav. list too

but sadly I haven't seen many movies about vampires though, nor many other movies
and I didn't see the other movies you mentioned yet, so I surely will watch them sometime

but let mee see, my favorite vampire movies so far are uhm
interview with the vampire, underworld 1 and 2
and saw one a few weeks ago on the tv, but I forgot what it was called
