If you read this post you will have a clue as to what is inside this parcel.

That's right, they are the baby silk socks for my mum and they are in the hands (or should I say on the feet of) the recipient as we speak. I photographed them next to Jamie, only because I noticed the colour combo and am planning to cook out of him tonight.

I am now making headway on these

in fact have almost finished one - more about them soon, or read this for fingerless inspiration!

I have this Jamie book and until recently, I had hardly used it, to be honest. Given the v cold weather here, I made the butternut squash soup last week. It was yummy, in fact I have bought more squash today to make some more, especially as it was popular with the Munchkin...
