I have officially signed up for classes (M,T,W,Th,F) and landed a job at the hawaiin fusion cuisine restaurant called Roy's. I still have yet to buy books and my paycheck which I JUST received was itty bitty, to be exact $168 >.< I have finally bought the book, The Nanny Diaries, got a copy of the New York Times & drank my Starbucks. Yes, it's been a somewhat good day with the exception of my paycheck. I have an interview with GAP tomorrow, so am a bit nervous.

I am glad to say that I have found the PERFECT bedsheets but not the perfect cover!!

Factory Girl
surprisingly disappointing.... After having watched Gia (Angelina) & Blonde (Poppy) I assumed I'd like Factory Girl as well, since all 3 are done with a biography feel. It was not at all what I expected. I guess because Sienna's accent surprisingly reminded me of Penelope Cruz, thought my roommate (Jess) who I watched it with completely disagrees. It is just my opinion but yeah I think for now I'll hold off on buying the movie anytime soon.

Fake Palindromes by Andrew Bird

July 6th 2007 08:30
When I first started this blog I had no idea that I would be reviewing more than just books. However since living in Austin I've watched a bunch of dvds & movies. In Austin there is an indie movie theatre called Dobie Theatre so I plan on watching some independent movies. I've also been to the Alamo Drafthouse and its the bext idea for a movie Theatre. I guess I will be talking about books, movies, restaurants & places like Alamo Drafthouse, Dobie, & etc.

Reviews are coming soon including...

Books : Adored by Tilly Bagshawe

Movies : Edward Scissorhands, Rosemary's Baby, Snakes on a Plane & Red Eye

I'm currently sitting on the floor with my legs propped up on my table turned desk. On the left side of me sits my cd player playing Fake Palindromes by Andrew Bird. In front of my lays the book Anna Karenina which I'm starting to wonder if Ill ever finish the book.
I am currently unsure as to whether I have a job as a hostess but am finally starting to know why I didn't get any callbacks its because of the availability. However I really am more flexible then I put down. A part of me wonders how many people must have called my manager Olivia for a reference. I also known it would have been better to ad my resume especially for the restaurants.
I'm dying to be buying some lemon pepper rotisserie chicken & kimchi. I have a list of over 150 books to buy but no worries on the books for now.
I'm currently filled with so many worries & really wish to go on the tour, not only do I have not many clothes but I'd really like to have a digital camera by my side. I know that going on the tour will benefit me for the sake of my writing. Id be able to write from a singers point of view of the tour aspect when writing Lucky Ambitions.
I'm going to an art show tomorrow and its mostly to write an article. I plan on doing front of book reviews so I have a list of a few restaurants I'd love to visit in Austin such as Roy and would love to write a review on Koriente and maybe Uchi as well. Hopefully next year ill get another opportunity to go on tour and ill have more than what I currently have.

I bid farewell to the Vans Warped Tour.

Suddenly I See

July 4th 2007 23:48
After watching the beloved movie, "Devil Wears Prada" I felt my life changing for the better especially when hearing the introduction song. I'm currently residing in the living room of my friend's apartment and have the entire living room to myself. It's great being able to write whenever I want in my journal however the only thing that sucks about being up here in Austin is having no computer. Yes now you know why I don't get to blog as much. ^^ Aside from that I've received 2 offers for positions.
1) Front Desk Coordinator for a Salon
2) Hostess @ The Melting Pot

This Blog is where I shall keep reviews of books I'm currently reading. It will consist mostly of my opinions but I will possibly add some sort of "research" into my writing. I've never done a book review since elementary school, so bare with me. I'm trying to develop a "front-of-house" fashion magazine articles.

New York

June 14th 2007 20:28
New York is defined to me as the city where ANYTHING can happen.
I was just browsing Craigs List; New York and found a dozen of opportunities and it made me wonder, should I be attending a school in New York? I mean there's a DOZEN of intern opportunities there! I was in complete awe just viewing the writing/editing, creative/talent gigs. The apartments are absolutely AMAZING. I'd give anything to just be in New York. I'm starting to feel envious but at the same time I'm feeling a nervous wreck! I feel as though if I could just get into NYU or Columbia, my life is set! No more worries about a job or interns because there's so many opportunities compared to TEXAS! The best internship for a magazine I may find is ENVY magazine.

Marketing? Journalism? English?

June 14th 2007 05:44
As I've previously stated, I've always known what I've wanted to do. I've known since I was young that I wanted to sing on the stages of Korea & Japan. I took 2 years of Japanese in high school so I could have an advantage when it came to auditions and what not. Being a singer, it was pretty much a if I could do anything, it'd be that.
