Would you go somewhere a psychic said you may Die?

Four years ago I went to a music festival with a friend for a weekend. We both went and saw different psychics while on the Island for the festival and quite a few things this lady said to me have come true.
She knew all about my relationship status at the time and how I was in love with someone in the US - she also picked up many other things that still surprise me now as being accurate in regards to work and life in general.
She said this to me:
"Through your work you will be invited to the US - do not under any circumstances go to a main city as it could be the end of you"
At the time I did not think much of it and then this guy I was in love with in the US wanted me there - I applied to move there and all was in motiion. He was living in Florida and it was one of the most strongest loves I have experienced. Things turned out bad and it was discovered he was HIV positive and I lost touch with him after he ended up in a mental instution to deal with his condition. I thought this was the "do not go to the US" thing as I would probably also contract HIV from this amazing guy if I went there. I basically closed the book on this one and assumed the psychic's choise of "you will be invited there for work" was a confusion and blending of personal and work life.
I just went for a promotion this week at work and if I get this position I will be sent to LA for a month of training.
This popped into my head the other day about the psychic's words and now I am freaking out.
What would you do?

And it does not surprise me you don't believe in psychics. I am not overly believing myself - but she has said so many accurate things - it's kind of creepy.
She did say I would meet the man I would spend the rest of my life with in the year I turn 36. However I just turned 37 and I am still single. So hopefully she can be wrong about the US thing too.

Someone - too true - but it is still kind of freaky
Ruby - not unless you win the job as a digital cinema technician
MNG - XL Hard Rock TShirt - if I get the job I am sure I am can manage to pick one of those up but lets get the job first
TWPY - The answer seems pretty straight forward this time. She also said the love of my life would work in the Rocks and his name would start with S - but this has not happened yet!
Anonymous - I hope she was forseeing the future and thanks for the bullet proof vest tip - haha
Not one of you covered your bases - if something happens in the US you better all feel like shit

I've read the assumptions above about how psychics are not reliable, but (despite being about as psychic as a brick!) for years I have read the Tarot and the I Ching and I can guarantee that those babies do not lie!
If I tell someone that the cards indicate a certain influence or outcome I'm telling them in good faith. And having people report back all the time 'It turned out just like in the reading - even the stuff I didn't want to take on board' has convinced me that readings I give or receive should be treated with respect!
I'm in my mid fifties now, and by trusting my own readings I have managed to either avoid or brace myself for many crises. I'm also one of the happiest people I know and the people around me turn to me for advice and assistance all the time because they know they can trust me.
If you have the least feeling that the lady had any insight at all into your situation at the time - trust her to have been given just as much insight into the possible future. She did not make it up, just passed along what she was shown!
Be careful out there!

Go and look up Derren Brown on Youtube and watch his videos and you'll see how they do it. He's amazing and doesn't have a psychic bone in his body. He is just very clever and has a great old time debunking psychics and playing mind control tricks on people. I think the guy is a genius!
