would you eat the pilot?

I guess its the age old question of survival. If you had to, would you, could you, eat another person if it was life or death? I guess its a stupid question unless you were actually those people. Logic says hey I you are in the forest, hunt or something, but, they did have injuries to boot and I guess logic wouldn't exist in dense virgin jungle when you have just cheated death.

I'd like to think I'd be the one who said NO way. Imagine even considering eating another person.

Crazy. I'd like to think I wouldn't eat anyone. There was lots of leave, nutritious leaves to eat instead.

Hey Louie

hhhmmm an interesting question. I have often thought about this after watching a movie about some folk who crashed in these mountains somewhere and ate the dead on board.

Personally I think it would be a last, last, final resort and something you would never get over. But at the end of the day you have just survived a plane crash - your time on earth isn`t finished and you still have something to fulfill or you wouldn`t have survived... now you gonna die of starvation????

Oh Louie, I guess if it ever came down to it, and I was faced with this situation, I wouldn't be in my rational state of mind - I think hunger has a primal survival element to it that our rational full-bellied middle-class ponderings cannot speak to. We'd all like to think we are anti-cannibalism. But eat the pilot or die....? Maybe. The will to live may surpass intellectual revulsion. Just not sure how one would reintegrate into 'normal' civilized society after having chowed on human flesh.
