Wonder Who??

September 16th 2008 03:38
Wonder Woman

I have been in a few discussions lately with friends on who should play Wonder Woman in the new movie. I say most of the actresses I really wanted in this role, are out of their "prime" for this particular part. Sherilyn Fenn, Julie Strain,Catherine Zeta -Jones, just to name a few. So,on to who is in the "age bracket" for the role of an action star or superhero. I vote for Jessica Alba, Megan Fox, or Amy Lee(even though she is not an actress). She who is chosen, has to embody what Wonder Woman is, not just a "box office" name. Who do you think should be the next Wonder Woman?

Sherilyn Fenn

Catherine Zeta -Jones

Julie Strain

Jessica Alba

Megan Fox

Amy Lee

I think i would have to go with Megan Fox, she has already shown she can hold her own as far as the action genre by kickin azz in Transformers. Plus she has the kind of exotic beauty needed for Wonder Woman

I think another actress you should look at is Nadia Bjorlin, she was an actress on Days of Our Lives, but she has some striking features and some piercing eyes. She has that exotic Persian look. But i think she would fit that Wonder Woman mold. An actress that isnt afraid to eat a cheeseburger, she has some curves. Just another name for you to think about.

Megan ... what a fox!!!! ;-P

Jessica is a doll, but too well known methinks.

Denice Richards, back when she did Wild Things, would have been an ideal casting ... I still look back fondly on that scene when she climbed out of the swimming pool ...

Krista Allen is very hot, but not sure of her acting ability ... Alyssa could well fit the part, she's certainly got the curves and the acting chops

Alyssa...mmm...yes! She's a bit on the tiny side, but.... I think she could pull it off...I wouldn't mind seeing her with the golden lasso!!!

Elisha Cuthbert!!
She's blonde, but could look hot as a brunette, and she's certainly got the curves! She may be a little short though ...

I enjoyed Liv in Stealing Beauty ... but enjoyed Rachel Weisz even more!
Not a great fan of Liv's acting style that's all ... She's a little doey-eyed for my tastes ...

True...hard to balance who "looks" the part and who can "play" the part as well...hum...quite an enigma!!!!

Halle Berry looked like a sultry Catwoman, and she can certainly act .... but they movie sucked like a vacuum cleaner.

I was thinking Angelina Jolie, she was smokin hot playing Lara Croft so you know she has the kick ass quotient, Plus she looked damn fine in the skin tight outfits, I thiink she would make a HOT wonder woman

I think Angelina is over rated for the part...
She's beautiful no doubt...not quiet soft enough for my taste.

Bryn...

Rhona Mitra ...? She was the original Lara Croft model. She's also a good actor. And she is smokin'.

I just read on one of the celebrity blogs that Keri Russell has been considered! ARGHHH!! I can't stand Keri Russell ... Also Katie Holmes was pitching for the role a year ago!

A Sydney model, Megan Gale, is playing WW in the movie Justice League ... Personally I think she's not voluptuous enough to play her.

She's an Israeli-born model and actor. She played a powerful witch in Dario Argento's movie The Third Mother. She certainly has the looks and figure, but I doubt she'd be able to pull off the American accent.

Odette Justman, perhaps, although probably too young ...

I believe Jody Lynn O'Keefe who plays Gretchen on Prison Break could pull it off. She is 5'10, naturally raven haired and blue eyes, does kickboxing, can act, not too well known.

If not- Emily Deschanel from Bones if she were able to train hard physically to get toned.

I love Jessica Biel athletic build and fighting skills from Blade III. She is so toned and is what they should look for when shooting Wonder Woman as an Amazonian Princess Warrior. Unfortunately she doesnt have the height.

I believe whomever does take up the role to be Wonder Woman should fit the description as accurately as possible. She should be able to fight well too. I would like this movie to be taken as seriously as when they made Batman Begins. The looks, the fighting, the storyline, the acting should all be top notch. I dont want my most favorite superhero ridiculed in anyway, shape or form and in no way compared to Catwoman with Halley Berry. The problem with Wonder Woman getting underway I think is that Lynda Carter became the Epitome of what Wonder Woman should look like and new hopefuls fall short from the expectations

I agree with She in that Lynda Carter, like Christopher Reeve as the Man of Steel, became synonymous with WW. The actor should fit the original comic strip description as accurately as possible ...
