Human shields? Not in Israel. Jews shoot two women in the streets.

You know about human shields? If you are a woman and want to be a human shield in Israel and Palestine, forget it. Israeli soldiers will just shoot you. The Israelis claim that they were chasing some militants in Biet Haroun, Gaza, who were firing on them and they had been cornered in a mosque. The women of the area came together to protect the mosque and the men (resistance fighters to the Palestinians, gunmen in the American media and Israelis) and two were shot dead. In this massacre of innocents, there is no other way to describe it; the women assisted their men to escape using women’s clothing. Why were the women shot when the whole exercise proved futile?
You should note that the facts of this story were reported in the European and British media but incorrectly reported in the American news media. For example CNN quoted an Israeli spokesman as saying “How many people were killed and who they were was unclear following conflicting reports.” Not it’s not. Two women were shot. CNN also stated, “An IDF spokesman said the troops fired on the group of women because two militants were hiding among them. He said the troops killed both militants”. Also false.
The BBC reports that news footage shows men among the crowd of women but they appear to be unarmed.
Much of the conflict that goes on in the Middle East is not reported. It is as though the world has become bored with it.
The heavy handed tactics of the Israelis gain them nothing. Recently the invasion of Lebanon destroyed much of the infrastructure and lead to the death of thousands of innocents on both sides because Hamas captured two Israeli soldiers. Again nothing was achieved and the soldiers were not released.
The shooting of the two women by Israeli soldiers is a new low in the behaviour of a nation which is making itself a pariah in the Western world and is running out of options. The only reason there has not been a general outcry against this is that Australian and American media will either not report it or reports the conflict incorrectly.
Not everything can be justified in war. Eventually rape, murder and pillage will exact revenge and condemnation even if the American media remain strangely shy about it.

Even if this incident was investigated properly and the guilty prosecuted someone would call foul. Dead unarmed civilians ar little more than a PR problem to be managed. Yet for how long?
