Bloggers Tips - by Kams

Blogging, the emerging innovation for sourcing crowds. To coup up with the race of this community driven technology, we need information/news. This is all about information, tips and trends from every corner of Blogosphere.

“Why do you blog? And how far will you go for it?”-Justify

Sounds like asking "G.W.B, the father of free world" why do you like war. . But anyway very important question to be ask yourself that what is the true reason you blog and how far(your cross line) you will go for reaching your goal. This weird thought circling in my mind since yesterday when I read news about Dallas Mavericks owner got sued for criticizing NBA official in his blog. I have done some research and I found out this was not the only case there were lots of incident through out the world where blogger got sued/ penalize even convicted for their blog. Some of them really deserve that considering the content they published, and some of them not. And not all of them were political bloggers some were just as usual bloggers like us.

I don’t know how many of you have read the blog “Baghdad Burning” – a blog written by a young lady straight from Iraq. The blog is hosted in blogspot. But since August 5,2006 she don’t have any entry, observing her frequency of post you will see it’s very odd. I wonder if someone just made her vanish!

So I think it’s very good time to ask yourself the question- “Why do you blog actually?” And “how far you willing to go for achieving your goal?

Start with me. I truly blog for two reason-
[1] I need to build up writing skill and knowledge, as I work as a consultant. My blog gives me expose’ in my real job.
[2] Off course some extra $.

How far I will go for my goal in blog?
For number one I will go as far I need to go, since my survival hang in there.
For number two, up to a certain point where I wont loose my normal human morality.

Bloggism,

Why do I blog?

I blog because writing and words are my No. # 1 passion in life. I’ve always wanted to earn a wage from writing, as opposed to becoming filthy-rich and famous from writing. If blogging can generate a wage that enables me to write (pursue my passion), I’ll be as happy as the proverbial pig in shit, or the person who is famous and earns shitloads from producing No. # 1 bestsellers.

How far will I go?

Compromise is not an option. I will not sell my soul in order to succeed as a blogger. If I had that attitude, I’d be a journalist.

Homer.

Who do I have to kill?

But in reality it is a challenge.
I claim no purity or superiority of my opinions.
Getting feedback to a blog, even if it is negative, is still is a reaction. It vindicates my effort.

How far will I go?
As far a my conscience will let me.
and
"...conscience makes cowards of us all..."

Why?
1) I love writing, and I find that writing down my ideas makes them more coherent somewhat.
2) My friends won't listen to me, so I have to turn to you guys for an unwilling audience.

How far?
As long as it doesn't get in the way of my principles.

Off-topic: Is there actually a legal precedent involving blogs? Or were the prosecuted bloggers charged with usual "media crimes" like libel, slander, or conflict of interest with their company?

I agree with Ahmed, there is no oustanding law that if you write something, you will get charged.

But hey keep in mind, govt. and corporate agenda dosen't goes with the law, for upholding their rights they will make a new law, if that what it takes.

So pissing off some corporate giant or some politician is a problem for blogger. Like a blogger in england, was fined over 35k GBP for her blog againist a MP.
