Whta's Really Going On

Bank report cards, swine flu, Iranian nukes, pirates, trillions in spending. I think people become numb when they get bombarded on a daily basis with one crisis after another. There was a time when we heard news and it was from real journalists. The era we are in now is starting to resemble propaganda more and more.
Sit back for a second and think. How many times in recent years have you heard or read a news story and thought to yourself, that doesn't seem right. I'll give you a great example from this past week. VP Biden was being interviewed, on the Today show I believe. He was asked what he would tell a family member if they wanted to take an airplane flight. His response was he had already told his family not to travel and in fact to stay away from public transportation. While it was honest, it certainly didn't fall into the administrations talking points.
Later that day at the daily press briefing, White House press secretary Robert (I won't have my job long) Gibbs, is faced with a question as to why Joe Biden was saying we shouldn't be traveling. Gibbs answered, what Vice President Biden meant to say was.....blah blah...talking points...blah blah. That my friends is propaganda. When someone tells you that you really didn't hear what you heard, they have no respect for you. This is our government and has been for a long time. This is not a partisan jab. The fact is Democrat or Republican, it really doesn't matter anymore. It has become blatantly apparent in recent years that neither party cares about anything other than power.
I'll continue this discussion tomorrow. Long day trying to survive and I'm tired.
