When Teens Attack

Today my 14 year old got into trouble at school. She yelled at a boy in class and was reprimanded by her teacher.
And I'm so proud of her for it.
You see, the discussion had turned to the Australian diver who'd won gold at the Olympics and this boy in class was making it known that he was disgusted the diver had kissed his boyfriend in public. And my shy, studious, wouldn't say boo to a goose daughter gave him a piece of her mind. By all accounts, she put him in his place and shot him down with some intelligent argument. I wish I'd been there to witness it (and maybe to tell the teacher to shutup and let her talk (yell).
I'll just have to make do with the knowledge that I must be doing something right.
