when i joined a Dance Ministry...

Even before i have been passionate in writing, i have been more deeply devoted into dancing. i have been imitating the dances of the best dancers being exposed to TV since i was a kid and then exclaim, "i can do that step better than those people can!". there also came a time that dancing opportunitues came my way such as competitions, dance numbers, etc. i thought that dancing then, was just a hobby, that will make you feel fulfilled whenever you do it. until i joined a dance ministry.

A dance ministry is a team (not an organization) inside a Born-Again Christian Church composed of dancers that usually are accompanied by tambourines or banners. The JCSGO Dance Ministry is like that except that they are not only accompanied by tambourines and banners but can also do different dances such as ballet, jazz, and even hip-hop without compromising the quality of the Christianity of the dance. I thought that since I was a Christian I should affiliate with this kind of team and still fulfill my hobby in dancing.

At first, I thought everything was just doing the dance on a sunday, buying new costumes, applying make-up during performances, etc. Until I felt the weariness. I was like not wanting to dance for a while because it's making me feel out of sorts. I needed rest, I thought.

But in an extravagant manner, God touched my life when I joined a Youth Camp in the church (I was still a recent member of the ministry by then). A pastor declared a prophecy in my life that Jesus will dance with me, or maybe, he wouldn't even let me do the dancing. IT'S JUST HIM. I never thought then that an ordinary person like me could be chosen by God to dance with His Son and touch lives of many people, leading them to knowing the goodness and greatness of God.

Since then, I knew what my purpose was - to please God - that whatever I ought to do, it must be for the glory of God whether it is dancing or any talent i have. It was from Him that talents originated anyway and I know... I just know... that He wants us to bring the glory back to him, in whatever circumstances using any resource in our life.
