Morgan, Cheryl, Katyzzz and anyone else that is intrested - let's have an online photo comp to see who can shoot the best pic with the theme of "colour". Keen??

This is my second fave!

The swans are a good choice.

Saw these some time ago but it is good to see them again.

Jason, I loved the first and ninth pictures.

The NO.9 picture given me a unusual feeling about it, and it makes me felt that I'm now situated in Shangri La...

Damo - it's the one above the swans I thought was my second fave - swans are beautiful though! Glad you liked and thanks for stopping in!

Wilson - the first one is just outstanding! Great comment about Shangri La! The photographer would be very impressed that was what you go out of it I am sure. Thanks for commenting!

Morgan bring it! Let's say a deadline of one month - or the 7th January - NY's and Xmas will cause issues for all and won't be a massive challenge - that garden of yours has abundant color! Or shoot a pic of something that is strong in one color - like a red picture etc. I once saw a similar competition and the guy who won burnt one match and put it back in the packet then shot all the matches - the black and red thing worked beautifully!

Jason,

Beautiful, absolutely wonderful planet, isnt it?

Synchronicity : I amlistening to an album by a group called Vargo and the song is called : Beauty.

I am inspired to buy less plastic this week.

Wonderful post Jason, I love them all and that's a great idea you have, but I never put up my own photography, may I be the judge or the critique perhaps?

Sounds like a great idea Katyzzz - we do need someone to be an external judge with some expertise but why don't you post your pics?? This is an ideal forum to let people see what you do. I know it's up to you but I would love to see your work.

Hi Jason,
as I am a great lover and admirer of the Impressionists, the first one does it for me, I also like the hut above the stream, and the autumnal shots of course!

I'd love to join in the photo 'comp', but have to get my pooter fixed first, then a decent camera to borrrow, then some talent...

cheers

fog

P.S. Best to put a statement on this post saying, 'if any of these photos are copyrighted, and you send me proof that you are the author, I will credit you under your photo(s), or if you wish, I will delete the photo(s) immediately." This will cover you somewhat.

Thanks Jas, Great photos. Love all. More so the Mountains. The first one looks as if it could be in our own Snowys. The purple is Salvation Jane or better known as Pattersons Curse. A weed. But doesn't it just look fantastic. Contrasting colours complementing it. Magnificent. The area of Flinders Rangers, SA, gets covered totally with the purple tones every year. A magnificent sight. See it. Do it. Stays with you forever.

Lilla - will suss out the music and good on you for less plastic. In a strange ironic way - when I was in Dawin a few years ago I actually saw a fish floating that was dead with a green enviro bag wrpped in its gills - I am so disappointed I did not photograph it. They aren't any better besides they break down quicker - thanks for comments.

Neems - thanks for stopping in - I do love that same pic

Fog - I do love the impressionists too. If you can join the pic comp do it - even the most untalented photographer can capture magic. Thanks for your tip too:

K@ the Lair - o good to see you can now make comments Mum!! I would like to visit the snowy's again when not snowy - looks so different and the flowers of spring would be great to see. Thanks for flower name - Cheryl J will verify soon too I believe.

Thanks everyone and have a fantastic weekend. Off to write myself off at a Xmas party now.
To anyone who knows anything about these pics or is the author:

I know everyone will call me a party pooper, but in the interests of everyone who may try to emulate these, ALL have been photoshopped ( doctored ) Agreed?
