What is wrong with Australia's one day Cricket team?
What is wrong with the Australian One Day Cricket team at the moment? We've lost our last five one day internationals, players injured left and right and now we have lost our number one ranking to South Africa, our World Cup campaign is looking quite a deal shaky with Brett Lee, our main strike bowler out of the tournament completely.
One would have to say that part of the problem is the fact that Cricket Australia, the selectors and the players have become arrogant in their approach to the game. The selectors showed their arrogance by not picking Stuart Clark for the Commonwealth Bank Cup series finals against England and then not picking him for the trip to New Zealand, instead going with the 'sometimes in form' bowler, Shaun Tait, who is far too unpredictable with the ball in hand and also choosing Shane Watson who hadn't played a match since injuring his hamstring whilst playing for Queensland.
There is no doubt that the batting is fine but our bowling attack has been leaking runs especially when the Aussies made two unbeatable totals against New Zealand during the Chappell Hadlee series in New Zealand and were run down.
Like I said before Cricket Australia, the selectors and the players need to wake up to themselves and realize they are not above the game and that they are not rockstars or gods of any sort, they are very well paid sportsmen and I hope that getting smashed by New Zealand has brought them down a peg or two because I really fear that Australia will lose the tag of 'World Champions'
