What is lacking in Indian football?

Last night the final between Zambia and Ivory Coast was nail biting , Zambia won defeating the giants in penalty shootout.
Who deserves the credit for the win?
Natural answer could be the players and coach but i believe along with them the spirit behind the success was the President of Zambian Football Federation Mr Kalusha Bwalya…. Shocked ? yes, I could see how PASSIONATE he was to win the cup, during the match breaks he could be seen on the ground motivating his players,he was equally involved in the match as much as the players
I think All Indian Football Federation (AIFF) needs someone like Mr Kalusha Bwalya. We need passionate member running the board, who love the game and has the will, dream & passion to see their country on the global map, merely the player and clubs passion for the game won’t be enough for the ship to reach the shore.
Two historical clubs namely Mahindra United & JCT have shut down recently. Unfortunately, Indian sports bodies are controlled by politicians who don’t understand game nor they are interested in it.
What required is development of the game at the grass root level nationwide especially in rural areas, this development is of huge magnitude which has to be done by AIFF only, it can be done by private and public partnership & supporting the existing clubs by giving them share in the revenue generated by the broadcasting.
Fans in India are frustrated and furious, clubs are running on there own expense, without quality infrastructure and academies to nurture young talent, the clubs don’t have much choice to choose from..pool of players
All this can be achieved only by passionate people running the board.
If an developing county like Zambia can achieve such heights then why not India?
