Learning Something Everyday - by Jessicca

You can learn from anything to everything every single day, if you put your heart to notice the little changes in life around you.

What have you learned in 2006?

December 7th 2006 03:17
Since the year end is here, and our dear dear katyzzz has prompt the question, "what did you learn from blogging"... I would prompt the question what have you learned throughout the year?

What are the incident that you encounter in 2006 that you can never forget?

There should be a lot of things if you really write them down one by one...

I do look forward to see responses from fellow orble-family-members and visitors are very much welcome to comment too!

^_^

Perhaps I should start with myself...

What I have learned? Bunches!

1. Life
I have learned that our lives are very very fragile. We can loose our lives easily and we can be really healthy today, and gone tomorrow.

2. Friendship
I have learned what true friends are, especially when you encounter problems in life, they are there for you.

3. Love
I have learned that I can't love a person if I do not know what my true feelings towards that person first.

4. Money
Money isn't everything, but money can really be handy when you need it for rainy days. And it is important to save for rainy days.

5. Slave to money
You cannot be a slave to money. Money can help you in many cases but you cannot work your butt off without knowing that you are the master, not the money.

6. Mother Nature
Through our dear dear Lilla's posts I have learned that we need to always respect our Mother Nature before we loose her. And the fact is, we ARE loosing her with our egoism, greed and modernisation.

7. Family
Family members won't be with you all the time. Cherish them before it is too late.

8. Orble
Learning to write and meeting new writers everyday is a joy! The better part is having great administrators and fellow family members of Orble who are ready to help when SOS is posted.

Hi Brenton!
Great to see you around here. Indeed through the events we learned we understand more about ourselves!

Thanks for dropping by!

1. From Mr Goo (5 months) - Second babies are more relaxed because second time mothers are more experienced.

2. From Number One Son (nearly 4 years) - Art is everywhere. And should be shared.

3. From Soccer Dad - There just isn't enough time, so make the best of the little time we have.

4. From my dog, Page - When it's time to go, holding on and being brave only makes it harder.

5. From Orble
- Writing is a joy.

Thanks Jessica!

Hi Little Angry Doll!

It is good to see you here! Wow it IS an experience to learn from kids and I am sure your no 2 is really enjoying his time while he can as a 5 month. It reminds me of my little princess when she was 5 months. LOL...

Oh, I have learned...

To never give up

To wait

To be patient

To dust myself off & get back up

I have learned to count on myself

Jessicca,

I have learned that blogging doesn't pay.

I have made new friends, new enemies.

I have put others in their place and others have put me in mine.

I have learned how encouraging it is to have the support of others.

I have learned that bloggers can take themselves too seriously.

I have learned that the majority of bloggers do not have much sense of humour.

I have learned that one can lose oneself entirely in blogging.

I have learned that the cyber world is beginning to replace the real world, sadly.

I have learned how loving, caring, sharing and committed such people as Lilla are.

I could go on but I am standing aside to let others have their say.

I have learned to make sure I make a clear distinction in my mind between the real and unreal.

I have learned tho it's time to go 'tis difficult to run.

Blogging can be taken far too seriously. But seriously I expected to be paid.

Hi katyzzz!

Thank you so much for stopping by and your honest pricessless comments. ^_^

Yes, it is a "very sad yet true" case about the cyber world replacing the real world. Because of technology, the world is "smaller" and people just tend to stay at home at their comfort zone.

There was a series once in "The Sliders" I saw that talked about the world was so deserted and you see nothing but robots roaming around fighting each other or attacking roamers. Appearantly they are controlled by games (kids) at their own home.

Hi pegasus!

Thank you so much for dropping by!

Yes, to develop patience is a true skill and well, blogging without being paid really test our peserverance and patience to hold on tight.

(I'm almost reaching payment stage and I do hope I can get paid)

2006 has revealed to me that barristers suck ass and are petty bullies who i'd welcome having a bar fight with.

I can't really understand what you said but you made it pretty interesting and worth remembering what you said.

I have learnt that a lot of scary looking people are good inside, and that a lot of normal, civilised, tight looking people have crazy assed, horrifying sexual fetishes.

I've learned that sometimes I can be my worst enemy and that i should have more confidence in myself and my decisions.

Hi Always Eighteen

Thank you so much for dropping by!

I do agree with you that there are a lot of people who are like that. In some Chinese saying that "beast in a gentleman's skin" (can't remember exactly)

I believe these were caused by stressed. Nice guys who kept quiet kept all their pressure inside until it blows up one day. That's how insanity is born.

Once again thank you for your support to this post. ^_^

See you around!

Hi Hope!

Wow, it is great to see you here!

I totally agree that biggest opponent is ourselves. No one can tell us what to do actually. It is all our decisions to be influenced by others or not.

Great insight Hope! Hope to see you around! ^_^

Hi Stanley!

Whoa... that must be some lecture to piss you off like that... what did the lecturer did up to the point that has kicked off the boiling point inside of you?

Must be nasty....

jess - well i have had many lecturers in the past who were dunces but this is the first time where i feel a primal urge to strangle him! and i can categorically state that 99% of the class feel the same way. there is deep disdain for this unmentioned individual.

he is a petty bully, with a naploeanic streak that treated his class with utter contempt. i could keep going on but i'd just get too fired up.

even upon the reception of a decent mark from said lecturer hasn't alleviated my feelings towards him but the summer is here and i am sure the class feedback forms we filled out won't make his return a possibility so future students wouldn't be inflicted with the intense anguish we went through!
