Was it when I grew up
Maybe I got too big
What about US
Did YOU become too strong
And because YOU and I
Held too much inside
WE watched US die
WE hesitated
And so let US fall apart
Foolishly YOU and I stay by the side
As WE slipped away
in chaos and mistakes
It looks as though WE didn’t have a heart
Almost as if YOU and I were doomed from the start
Now as WE lay bleeding
I don’t know where YOU went
Or how I lost US of if YOU knew
But I can see US
And YOU and I are both long gone
But still WE lay bleeding and dying
And I found MYSELF crying
From the news about US and YOU
And how WE died
