What ever happened to the library?

Is it just me or has anyone else noticed how noisey the public has become?
Once upon a time, one would enter the library under a sign that read "Quiet please".
The librarians were strict, conservative looking creatures and any noise above an audible whisper was met with a stern "SHHHHHHHHH!!!".
I haven't seen this sign in any public library recently and the librarians now talk as loud as I shout.
Oh how I miss those days.
Parents never took thier kids to the library either. Back in those days, children would be taken to the park. This way they would run around with other children, play and burn off all that energy. Now parents take thier children to the library or the cafe. You know because this is the perfect place for them. Kids usually don't like these place. I'm no child psycologist but I know when a child is upset. You know how I can tell if a child dosn't like the library or the cafe?, because they are crying!!!!!! That might give you a clue right there
Sometimes in my darker moments, I wish children would come with a muzzle. A less extreme option would be to have a crying room. A sound proof room were people can take children who start crying.
Every where I like to relax, there are children. Screaming crying, children. I just wish there was a place without them I could go to relax.
