What do Sigmund Freud's Theories Represent for Today's Society? A Chaotic Psychological Madness
Repression of thoughts, suppression of feelings and subconscious thinking. According to Freud the majority of humans are likely to be psychologically very unstable, mentally volatile and in a state of emotional upheaval. Considering the way the so called experts understand how the human mind can be deduced to this type of psychoanalysis. For example, the dangerous inclinations lurking below waiting to be released. To think that inside of us there might be a serial killer, or pedophile or sex offender wanting and waiting to come out. Women desiring to be raped. Is empirical science the way to go? Not theoretical descriptions defining how the human mind operates but scientifically proven methods that demonstrate the cognitive process which humans use. Whether or not we can prove his theories to be empirically and scientific proof, they do hold valid merit and explain why some of us are the way we are, this means acknowledging a more disturbing side of reality. The side of reality that we are unlikely and unwillingly to admit to ourselves let alone to anybody else. To psychoanaltic's like Freud most of us are psycho-pathologically stuck. Does this mean that the majority of us are screaming out for help and really desire to commit bloodshed. No wonder Freud was an atheist, as he realized that individuals have deep rooted conflict that cannot be removed through godly means. As result he obviously came to the conclusion that the belief in a a G-D cannot save us from ourselves.
