Sports Blog Number 1
Well here is the first edition to the long awaited blog written by me. It seems to be a good week to start, we have the Super bowl, Nab cup starting the chase for Europe in soccer is heating up and the spot for playoffs are getting intense in the NBA, so lets get the show on the road.
NFL
Well let’s start with the super bowl, it’s the talking point of the week. The two titans of the year, New Orleans Saints v Indianapolis Colts. The saints win there first ever super bowl and now have in impressive 100% win ratio on debut in super bowls can they continue the trend into next season? Who knows time will tell. The hero for the saints was Drew Brees as always. Congratulations to the Saints and well done on there season, as for the Colts bad luck there’s always next season.
NBA
The All stars game has happened and East beat West 141 -139. Dwayne Wade was the MVP for this game.
FA Cup
The Quarter Finals are just around the bend and the race for the winner will be hotting up.
AFL
First game of the season in the Nab Cup was West Coast Eagles v Essendon and the star from this match was Nic Natanui. Score was 117-82 West Coast winning.
Next game on the Saturday afternoon was the showdown. Adelaide v Port Adelaide. Port won pretty convincingly and impressed a lot of people. 67-123 was the score.
Saturday Night game was Hawthorn v Richmond… pretty predictable. Hawthorn dominated from the start, Mitchell and Hodge carved it up will budwood provided the goods.
Sundays game was a very boring game and really… no one cared about. We just wanted to see Fevola in Brisbane colours. The final score was 53-45 Bulldogs winning it in the last quarter.
I’m looking to make these more detailed but its pretty time consuming so I’ll look to improve it. Untill next week
