We have a Doorway!
July 6th 2009 09:52
After a week of frenzied work the bottom floor brickwork is done! We have doorways and windows and even a double garage entryway.
We've been told that the next step will be the wooden frames and trusses. So still praying for good weather next week.
Our dramas continue though, as the rental house that we are currently living in has sold and we have been given 30 days to move out. However, we may have a place to live and also a place to store our furniture for the eight or so weeks we need before we can move into our own place.
I even went to the local post office and asked if we could just plonk a letter box on the property and change our address to our new one despite the house not being built. No problem!
We are so confident that we'll be in the house for Christmas that we are planning to have at least some of the family over for lunch that day. Not too hard considering half of Mark's cousins live in the same street.
