How To Draw A Pirate Skull Video

January 8th 2010 12:01
Pirate skulls are popular to draw, especially for tattoos, here I go through the drawing process yet again for drawing a pirate skull and I try and finish the drawing within 5 minutes in this video in pencil.

I had a little bit of inspiration from the Goonies on this one, looking at all them skeleton pirates sitting with their treasure at the end of the film.

Go and watch the videos and see How I Draw A Pirate

I recently did a new drawing video which will be a 3 part video on how to draw a zombies head and this first video goes through the sketching process of drawing out a zombies head.

The idea behind these videos is to provide some solid inspirations on drawing your own fantasy art, as this is my style of art, you could do your own spin on this zombie head drawing.

Drawing a zombie is much like relying on those zombies from the films, and with my zombie drawing I tried to give it a rotting appearance, even though it's just the initial sketch and the classic way of drawing the teeth poking out after having half of it's mouth ripped off, which was a nice way of drawing zombies.

Watch the video and I'll finish the 2 other parts shortly - Drawing a zombies head video

An old book that I found inspirational for my own fantasy art was the Boris Vallejo Book Fantasy Art Techniques as it had some useful information about the work processes of Boris Vallejo when he begins his paintings, but if you are looking for a more detailed book, then this is not the one, but it is a good book if you are a fan of Vallejos work.

Art Sets - Which Ones Do You Buy?

December 6th 2009 21:01
What art sets do you prefer?

I often buy the cheaper budget art sets, because I'm not into paying for the higher priced art products too much, although I have often bought some quality art materials I keep it to a minimum and just buy the value artists sets

December 6th 2009 20:51
Sketch pads we are very fortunate with as there are many choices we can buy at any stores online or in our local art shops.

But what sketch pads do you draw on, cheap budget sketch pads or do you pay for the top quality cartridge paper

What's Your Drawing Routine?

December 6th 2009 20:23
How do you draw in a typical day?
Do you set aside sections of the day like I do to draw lots of sketch ideas, and as many as you can, then the other sections of the day you can develop these ideas into full drawings for other projects.

Get paid to draw is one of them membership sites that appears when you do a search for anything to do with making money from your art and it's something that I've thought I'll do later, but with the new year coming up and the recession still going on for a few more years perhaps, then I thought I might actually sign up for this get paid to draw membership with it's one off fee.

As it promises to show you how to earn from your drawings, photos and whatever else creative works you can do - I wrote a mini review of the site based on what I have researched, which isn't much, but I want to get this early in the new year and compare what I thought about it to actually what benefits it actually has, which would make it a fairly comprehensive review that I could update with new thoughts and ideas

on What Makes a Good Blog?

July 12th 2009 15:21
I like that a good blog makes me hang around for awhile, it provides timely and relevant content I want to read aswell as surprises sometimes, a good blog is one of those that you can see being around for a long time to come, because it's network is growing and it continues to be useful.

Also a blog that uses other media to get it's useful content across is a bonus for me as a blog reader, sometimes I like to watch videos or read blog posts or listen to audio on a blog, it's just a case of balancing that with other blog posts content types.

That is a great computer drawing you have there and using a computer for art is something that I have to figure out which program would be the best option.

Keep on creating more art to come!

Hello Parentsprecinct!

When you are logged in you simply delete the comments that look like it's spam under each comment there should be an option to delete, report or ignore, so use these, you can usually tell from the way the comment is structured an example will be:

Nice post about making money, I think you'll find my link to viagra a great help - link!

Don't hesitate to delete these, as they will if left sap your blogs traffic and redirect it to these inferior promotions of irrelevant arse!

Yes that certainly is right, writing is to be done all day and anytime you can, writing for me is writing my minds thoughts on my blogs or a writing pad, because if I ever think of things that I should write down and I don't, then that is wasted thoughts and you can never get them back later on!!

Good luck with your writing projects!

All of your old blog posts, you link them to relevant new blog posts that you create...!

This creates relevant posts for further reading on your blog.

Building a content library is what a blog is partly about, that and interacting with your readers!

@Lilla I like your blog about dreams on the dream herald I have described a dream I've been having and await your interpretation of it.

This blog for me is a way to connect with other bloggers andsee what they are doing and what they blog about and how to build networks through blogs.

The blogosphere networks are the community for our blogs!!

on Do You Have A Dream You Want Interpreted?

July 21st 2008 18:41
I have a couple of re-ocurring dreams where I am eating cheese that makes me sick, whilst in the middle of an alien invasion and there is a barn and a horse is sticking it's head through the top half of a barn door and the other side of it's head is alive with alien tentacles...the barn is on fire and there is smoke everywhere and all I have as a weapon is a wooden spoon that is too small anyway!

I don't know what the hell it means, I have several other variations of this dream at times where I am holding different things or the horse is a cow etc.

Am I a Crazy twat!??
