Does it worth every clicking effort?
October 7th 2006 04:59
I was suppose to be at home, doing some reading and catching up with the "Purpose Driven Life" book, until my colleague called me and told me about the problems at her PC and she couldn't fix it.
True enough there was a problem and it didn't take long to fix it at all, and since I am in the office, well, what the heck, I sat down at my place and checked some mails.
Then the usual big pile of Paid-To-Click mails to my personal email (well, I checked my personal mails as well as office mails), and as I was thinking to myself, should I just sit down and have a quick click at the links and hope for the best of some of the mails actually "pay" me some 1/4 of a cent? I hesitated, but went on clicking anyway as I started writing a little more posts for the BLOG.
Honestly through those pile of mails you usually get points rather than cash, and before you know it, you have wasted almost an hour where you timed yourself to finish reading mails within 30 minutes.
Still having that little evil of greed inside of me it is really hard to ignore the mails for it's "tiny" rewards that sometimes not worth going through the hassle. But why are we still hooked up with the lures of awards? We are human, we always get worried that we have less one penny to spend the next day if we don't try to earn something out of it. Even these "Internet Earning" such as these didn't promise much returns but to some desperate ones, it is still "possible money".
Snap out of it, as I wrote this and think aloud, and so, I am going to just finish this article and get the hell out of here, and go home to rest... or may be not? Jsut another 4 mails and I can go home saying, "I wasted some of my time clicking all the paid-mails today"

You sure are still weak on your mind!
But everyone's the same. hahaha... You try to snap out of that bad habit, but you just keep going back! It's amazing sometimes how weak human is.
Guess you'd better read more on that book you are talking about.

Thanks for visiting this post and your encouragement. ^_^
Yeah, ever since I started blogging most of the time I'll be clicking on posts, leaving comments, flipping through sites and read as much as I can to compile information or just to juice out some inspiration out of my brain.
Do visit my other posts and my other BLOGS. Sometimes it is hard to compile everything together when what you are writing doens't exactly link to each other all the time.

Hi H
Thank you so much for stopping by!
Well, the fact was due to my experience on older sites last year I did get some peanuts payment, like about $13. May not be much for you, but it was good enough for me to maintain a domain site.
But then again, the time wasted on those clicks never returned.
And that's a good question. Are the peanuts of pay-clicks worth more than your time?

Many (including me once) often just click and let the timer run before we close the browser. That is because we are so used to all the same old advertisements from HYIP and Autosurf, or even other PTC sites are trying to promote.
Perhaps, once a while when we put some really catchy title to stop the readers a short while might help, but all it is those clickers will not truly read what they are clicking.
