Rudd protecting Rudd (LINK)

March 1st 2008 10:23
Rudd is looking after No.1. He knows that his spin and lies won't hold up forever, so he is planning ahead for the day when Australia wake up, and feel the need to hurt him.

Rudd to sign anti-torture treaty

AUSTRALIA is set to ratify the
international treaty against torture that was snubbed by the former Howard
government. The Rudd Government is also reportedly considering introducing laws
to make torture an offence for the first time under the Commonwealth Criminal
Code.

Damn it Rudd!

Hang on, it might not be all bad. We will be protected under the anti-torture treaty from the following:

-Listening to Julia Gillard in Question Time
-Watching ABC television bang on about how "they" won the election
-Visits from Al Gore
-The Mint

oh I could go on and on.........so I will

-Anthony Mundine promos
-Off-field politics in cricket
-Climate change extremist
-Watching Chelsea F.C play

Crucial yabby research

March 1st 2008 10:18
Seems as if the University of Melbourne are on top of their game, using their resources on world changing issues:

THE fighting Australian yabby will never walk away from a fight, even after a
loss.

a new study shows he will immediately take on his conqueror for a rematch
and proves he does not forget the face of his foes.
The two-year study by University of Melbourne zoologists of more than 100 pairs of yabbies showed the species Cherax destructor can remember and recognise the faces of individuals, specifically its opponent.

Although this is quite interesting, how does it make them taste nicer? Will the loser be more tender?

Maybe the Prof. is working on the taste factor?

Prof MacMillan said the new research may lead to bigger things.

Well, Kevin Rudd's Summit of Ideas aka Talkfest 2020 have received quite a few nominations. Word is the latest nominations for the Talkfest include;

Anthony Mundine
Willy Mason
David Hicks
Kerri-Anne Kennerley
Naomi Robson
Humphrey B Bear
Cate Blanchett (chosen)

Let's hope all these nominees are chosen, just to make sure the whole thing is a complete WANK!

Update: It seems Humphrey B Bear has been given the nod, although Humphrey remains tight lipped about his chances
