WA Switches to Daylight Saving on Sunday
November 28th 2006 06:20
The West Australian reports that after much debate, WA will start a three year daylight saving trial on December 3rd. The trial will be followed by a referendum to determine if the change becomes permanent. Over the next two years the start and end dates for daylight saving in WA will match those of Victoria, South Australia and New South Wales.
WA has had three previous daylight saving trials in 1975, 1984 and 1992. All were followed by referendums and all failed. Will this trial be any different?
