Vol Nation
February 16th 2012 16:01
As National Signing Day came the Tennessee faithful were hoping Coach Dooley and his staff could land a couple of big time prospects in potential linebackers Otha Peters and Dalton Santos. With the linebacker positions being a big need for the Volunteers this year, these two prospects could have made names for themselves early on in their careers. As the two announced that they would not be attending Tennessee, the high hopes for this year's recruiting class dropped tremendously. With the Vol nation feeling down about this class, they were fortunate to get another spark in the form of Kenneth Bynum, the No.56 linebacker according to ESPN. This was a big steal for the Vols, as they were already entering the picture late and he was already committed to Cincinatti, a team the Vols played during their disappointing 2011 season. Although Bynum may not have had a stand out year on the field, it is clear that he and his fellow teammates could be the key to Tennessee being back amongst the big boys in the SEC. Only time will tell about this year's class, but it looks like it's going to be a good 2012 season for the Vols.
