Vanessa's Bad Day

February 7th 2012 05:28
Vanessa looked to the curb. Her boyfriend spat on it. She grimaced. She could see the clear goo on the cement. It almost bubbled. She bet he had aids. She could almost feel it when they had slept together. It was like a sickness that kept inside of her belly and made her think she was going to be sick. It burned a little at the right moment, and no matter how much she ate or drank she couldn't get it out. She had been forced to head in other directions. She had found another guy to lay with, however he couldn't cream so well and he didn't make her feel any better. She had been seen going into his house, and the word had spread.

“So this is the end?” asked Vanessa as her boyfriend raged inside of his mind.

“The total end;” he said in a rough tone before he threw up a finger.

“Fine then screw you;” told Vanessa before she tossed her head and walked away.

Vanessa thought that he was sure to throw something at her. But her boyfriend only called her one name 'bitch'. It made Vanessa feel a couple of murmurs, but after she was a block away she felt a whole heap better. Vanessa followed the cement road for fifteen minutes in order to get back to where she lived. When at home she checked the mail, looked at the garden, and moved inside. It was only when she was inside that she began to feel depressed. There was cooking on the air, she could smell the savoury scent, and for some reason that homely scent made her feel sour and depressed. She began to sob a little inside of her chest, and quickly she moved to her room in order to get her tears out.

After an hour of crying Vanessa felt drowsy. She didn't want to do anything but go to sleep. She threw her last tissue into a garbage bin, and then she sighed.

“I hate today;” she muttered. “It's depressing;” she said, before she moved to pick up her brush so that she could make her hair neat and tidy.

For some reason brushing her hair made her feel a little better. It made her feel on top of the world, and it was because the brush made her mind a little more alert. She felt intelligent with brushed hair. She smiled at her reflection as she did it, and at the end of the brushing she always looked young. It was the magic to youth. She was nine-teen and people often saw her as the kid from high school. She made sweet sixteen dreams a reality, and as a result she was able to date guys younger then her. But not too young, she wasn't into getting a criminal record over good looks!

“Just young enough for me;” smiled Vanessa before she looked at herself and saw her face had become reborn. “Hello;” she whispered a second before the door creaked open.

Vanessa got the crawls on her spine. She looked over her shoulder and saw her step-father Corey He was a guy younger then her mum, but her mum was old. She was like fifty-five and he was like forty-eight. So it wasn't like he was young, just young enough to think he was selling himself whenever her mum was at home. He liked the big house, it was her mum's gift after her grandfather had died. He had willed it over, and her mum had cheered. She had always been wanting to get away from living on rental, and her dream was made into a reality when she was able to take over the family home.

“This is just what I have always wanted!” her mum had gasped as they had walked through the door. “This is a beautiful home, it just needs...” she muttered before she began to put things into plastic bags. “Redecorating;” she chuckled before she moved in order to grab a couple of boxes.

Vanessa looked to Corey who looked at her. She wanted to wrinkle her nose, however she grew a touch of venom instead.

“What's new?” she asked.

“Nothing;” Corey said as he glared. “You?”

“Got dumped;” told Vanessa.

“I am sorry;” told Corey

“Yes;” said Vanessa before she smiled. “It happens;” she muttered.

“I know;” said Corey as he glared at her. “There's some dinner on the table;” he muttered.

“Okay;” told Vanessa.

Corey crooked his head and left. Vanessa took a gulp and then she followed. She liked his cooking a lot, it was his stare that freaked her out! Vanessa moved to the kitchen table, and she sat in front of mashed potato and roast. She smiled to Corey, and then she slowly began to pick up a knife and fork.

Corey looked to Vanessa, he watched as she picked up the fork before she dug it into her potato. He then waited as she moved the potato towards her mouth. At the right moment he banged onto the table, and Vanessa dropped her fork as potato fell onto her lap!

“Look at this!” Vanessa whined as she glared at her lap which hadn't had a napkin put on it. “Why'd you do that?” she asked.

“I don't know;” muttered Corey “Go and get dressed;” he added before he began to butter a bun.

“Well I'll have to!” told Vanessa before she got up and moved to her room.
