Three quick notes:

-- the last set seems to work once per day

-- the following links are different from the last set, but, for some reason, with one or two exceptions, you can't collect both from these and from the last set on the same day

-- just to repeat, I think at most you need 110 ambrosia to complete the set once, assuming it's a single-mission event.

Best possible army - Vampire Wars

The state of play... Feel free to send me corrections if this is wrong, but I think this is the possible set-up, if money is no object. So this is the ridiculous best. Hopefully no-one has anything close to this...

Offensive

I suppose one thing that this reflects is that it's normally going to be a lot easier to attack someone than defend against them -- there's a lot more good attack abilities available -- though obviously it's going to depend on what your stats are (and whether you're doing Arena or old-school combat).

In contrast, the best-buyable-from-bazaar "golden army" -- 501 x Horrific Transformations (62/58), Imperviouses (38/44), Flights (60/58) -- would give you 80,160/80,160 (yep, your attack and defense attributes come out exactly the same!).

OK, the following are a bit strange. For some reason, you can claim TWO ONLY of the five links, but you've got a choice in which two you first click on.

If you're going to click them, I think it might make sense either to get the most powerful abilities, or get abilities that complete your set
