TSA Agrees With TSA Decision
January 31st 2011 18:38
There was talk and a push to replace government TSA workers with private screeners. Well 16 airports succeeded!
Everybody else is out of luck, because TSA put a stop to it. They don't feel there is a need to replace the over-paid government workers.
In my opinion, the reason it didn't succeed is because it was for the wrong reasons. This call for change came about because of alleged aggressive pat-downs. People should realize that even if you privatize airport security, it would still have to adhere to TSA procedures and rules, which means nothing will change. If anything we should use cheaper private firms.
