Ephesians teaches us about walking in the light (Ephesians 5:8-9). But what does it mean to do so? This term means to live by His teachings. Jesus showed us many times how to live each day according to God’s laws and He showed as that we can resist evil. We are to let the Holy Spirit fill us (Ephesians 5:18-21) by putting God first in ALL that we say, think and do. We have been given the armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-17) and pray continually (Ephesians 6:18-20). The reason for this is clear; Satan HATES prayer!
When a person decides to be a Christian it is not simply “believing” that a person is saved but actually living a Christian life. It is through actions that one truly believes. This is what the bible teaches and Jesus has taught Himself. We need to realize that God has given each one of us a special gift (Ephesians 4:1-3) and when we are called to become Christians we need to use them for His purpose and not our own.
We are taught to put off our old lives and all that hinders (Ephesians 4:17-19) and put on the new righteous life Ephesians 4:20-24).
In Nehemiah we see not only the miracles of the project and how God worked behind the scenes but in chapter 6 we see that Nehemiah reflected on them and saw God’s faithfulness. Upon completion of the walls Nehemiah provided a testimony to show people how He worked. We are to be salt and light and share with people in our daily walks what God has done for us or people that we know. It is also vitally important that we never take the credit for things working so smoothly. Give the glory to God. God is the reason for victory. So, don’t forget to thank God often each day for the good things that happen. At the end of each day we should take time for reflection and notice how God works in our lives.
Every time I see a bumper sticker or a shirt that says “No Fear” on it, I know this stands for something altogether different but I believe that it is one of those things that works for God. All things work for God’s will. Anyone who reads the bible knows this and I think this is merely a concept that displays that very thing. We, as Christian are to fear NO man! We are not to fear the bible teaches. “it is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of God,” not man. If we truly have faith then we are to have no fear. Do not panic- PLAN! Rally with your Christian church and pray for God’s intervention.
Satan is our adversary. It is his ambition to manipulate the weak minded fools of this world (2 Corinthians 4:4, 1 John 5:19) into doing his will which is to destroy souls. When we work for God we should expect that Satan will oppose as he always does. These tactics can be immediate or half way through our mission when doubt looms. Satan will come is as an “angel of light” but he will only discourage us from doing what we are meant to do for God’s will. Satan’s desire to to destroy us to hurt god, there is no other motive involved. Satan uses weak people to rally and tear down Christians. Be prepared for it and when you encounter it pray, pray hard and fervently. To prevent it pray should increase during times of sadness, weakness, hunger, loneliness, exhaustion and disappointment.

I think too many people are wrapped up in being politically correct than they are in the harsh realities of life.
