The Battle of Heart and Conscience

September 5th 2008 14:52

We are all faced with dilemmas. Christianity teaches that so much of what we see in society today is wrong. And, if our heart and conscience is truly with God we start to feel it. We view it as a problem even if we don’t want to admit it to ourselves. The Holy Bible teaches that Satan knows us; he has been here and has been corrupting mankind since the dawn of time. You see, Satan knows your heart and your desires and will do everything he can to prevent you from being with the Father in heaven because he was banished. His radical, hateful, vain, selfish efforts had him kicked out of heaven and it is because God’s love for mankind that Satan has an uncontrollable hatred for us and because we are selfish and think we know it all he feeds on that stupidity which allows him access to our lives, thoughts and actions.

Here is something to live by: 1Peter 5-6: do not seek your own glory or the glory of men.

This will lead you astray every time.

Speaking Out for God

September 2nd 2008 14:50

Some people ask: “Why do speak of God and Jesus, why don’t you let people discover Christianity on their own if they are going to” or “What gives you the right to talk to people regarding Christianity?” Here is my answer and it comes straight from the bible:

The Power to speak comes right from God in Acts 8: “Be My witness”—Are we ready to teach others as it is asked of us?

When I hear someone lie about Christ or God above in an effort to facilitate their agenda, their hatred, etc., I am reminded of God and Jesus commanding us to teach and go out to make disciples- So, one thing sets the true Christian apart from people using it as a title or means of social satisfaction and that is: will you cower and say nothing or stand up and proclaim?

Take a Lesson From Paul

August 30th 2008 14:49

As we look at how Paul worked throughout 1 Thessalonians chapter 2 it becomes evident his characteristics. He was a soldier of God. We should all try to be like him in our works. Let’s take a brief moment to examine his traits.

He was tenacious because he was confident in God’s power.
He was committed to God and the truth of His word. This gave him integrity.
He was commissioned by the will of God.
He was compelled by God’s omissions.
He was consumed with the glory of God.
He was compassionate with God’s people.

Here’s the lesson that Paul teaches us: Be diligent and bold against opposition, be ready to give an account of the truth of God our heavenly Father and Jesus Christ our Savior, His Son. Above all, never be afraid for He is with you.

Who Do You Serve?

August 24th 2008 15:19

I decided to write this post as ‘a wake up call’ for the many people I see that hide behind a veil of ignorance. It is important that I start by saying that even those who do not believe in God or Satan can not make them not exist, these people are merely choosing to remain blinded by pride. One day, they will see just how real they are but by then it will be too late

Jesus Talks about Murder PART ONE

August 17th 2008 15:14

In Matthew, as Jesus reinforces His Father's laws among the masses, He talks about murder. Now, we all know that killing another person is murder even in the form of abortion

The Importance of Repentance

August 13th 2008 20:13
The bible teaches the importance of repentance in so many ways but there is one I thought would illustrate the reason why we should be concerned about our actions. Luke 13:1-5 Jesus tells us that unless we repent we will perish with all of the other sinners. The process of admitting our sin before God means to humble ourselves and take responsibility for our actions in sin. Only then will He see that we are truly sorry and then He can forgive us. Some people care more about their pride and refuse to “admit to sin” for fear it will make them feel or look bad, their pride stands in the way of salvation. Don’t let this be an obstacle for you in your spiritual walk.

Matt 3:2 “Repent for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand

The bible says that we are to be salt and light in the world. Which is the reason for posting the two versions of This Little Light of Mine previously.

Let’s talk about what being ‘salt’ and ‘light’ means and how we can become these elements to all the people of the world

This is a bible study for people who believe what is in the bible. This a part of our faith. This is not a dead sea scroll study, a believe what so and so thinks to be right study or anything else. I am not going to criticize you and your opinions or your belief system so I would appreciate you reading or not reading. But you don't need to lend unwanted advice or criticism on a faith that you are obviously not a part of. Just as I would not visit a Muslim, Mormon, or atheist site and tell them what they should or should not believe.

Therefore what is in the holy bible is what I will continue to teach, you are free to believe what ever you want that is the point behind free will. You believe what you want and we Christians will believe the bible. Thanks for your time and your opinion on this matter.

Thanks SL, and yes, I do believe you're right

on Repetition in the Bible

Thank you all so much for stopping by and leaving comments.
As for the reason behind repetition in the bible, it is simply used for clarity. The bible isn't going for "best story plot" or trying to be the best creative book in the world. The bible is meant to teach and share the truth, love, and light.

Thank you Sean son of John- I will check in to read you as well.

D Armenta- Personally, I choose not to make this blog about me... that is not my goal. When I teach the principals of Christianity it is according to the Bible. This is the reason I post scripture, for the purpose of inspiring readers to open their bibles and find out what it has to say. This is not to say that I have no experience in this matter but I refuse to glorify myself or pat myself on the back or anything at all that can take away from the glory to God.

In short, I take my cues from Him and Him alone.

Also, as for interpretations, every person who reads the bible will form their own opinion. I am merely aiming them in the right direction to find the answers in which they seek. I can not change the words that are written, only call attention to them.

I have included some scripture to read regarding disciples teaching the Word if anyone cares to see what standards God has for those wanting to teach others.

This is NOT Christian morals or values here(in the case you refer to)... we are to be lights unto the world and teach people with love and kindness NOT hate and vile words that serve no purpose other than to hurt others. I will help if I can.
