Being Separated From Others

November 4th 2009 16:34
Mankind is not all the same. Some of us have been called to service… a better way to put it is that we have all been called to a supernatural duty but only some of us answer that call. We are set apart to do God’s will. Nehemiah 9, Isaiah 43:7 and 1 John 2 are good scriptures that present this view. We have been separated and consecrated for a reason; because we are the children of God. We are not to conform to the world and wicked ways of man, instead we are to guided by His light, love and truth.

NO FEAR!!!

November 1st 2009 21:03
Every time I see a bumper sticker or a shirt that says “No Fear” on it, I know this stands for something altogether different but I believe that it is one of those things that works for God. All things work for God’s will. Anyone who reads the bible knows this and I think this is merely a concept that displays that very thing. We, as Christian are to fear NO man! We are not to fear the bible teaches. “it is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of God,” not man. If we truly have faith then we are to have no fear. Do not panic- PLAN! Rally with your Christian church and pray for God’s intervention.

Satan’s Tactics

October 28th 2009 21:00
Satan is our adversary. It is his ambition to manipulate the weak minded fools of this world (2 Corinthians 4:4, 1 John 5:19) into doing his will which is to destroy souls. When we work for God we should expect that Satan will oppose as he always does. These tactics can be immediate or half way through our mission when doubt looms. Satan will come is as an “angel of light” but he will only discourage us from doing what we are meant to do for God’s will. Satan’s desire to to destroy us to hurt god, there is no other motive involved. Satan uses weak people to rally and tear down Christians. Be prepared for it and when you encounter it pray, pray hard and fervently. To prevent it pray should increase during times of sadness, weakness, hunger, loneliness, exhaustion and disappointment.

Who is Satan and Why Does He Hate Us?

October 25th 2009 20:55
A very brief overview:

Satan was once a beautiful angel. But he became overcome with conceit and vanity. When God made mankind and showed us so much love and compassion Satan became jealous and began to loathe us. This turned to anger toward God for creating us as we were inferior to the angels. Many still loved us because our Father loved us, but Satan would not accept anyone stealing his attention, especially lowly humans. Therefore he gathered a few angels that also didn’t understand why God loved us so much and they tried to fight Him. God cast them out

Who are You?

October 21st 2009 20:26
Today, I am simply going to ask a question. This is a simple self examination of your ambitions and life’s works. There is no point in lying as you and God are the only people aware of the results. But this is weighing on my heart to ask you all. Maybe it can help you discover areas that you need to change or fortify with the help of God. Ask yourself one question and decide who you are based upon your efforts in life:
• Are you a constructionist?
• Are you a destructionist

The Gates in Nehemiah

October 18th 2009 20:24
In Nehemiah chapter 3 we see ten gates. Each represents something to us today. Let’s look at this quick study into what these gates symbolize to us.

1. The Sheep Gate: this was a sacrificial area and it is symbolic to Jesus and the crucifixion

The Christian Strategy

October 14th 2009 20:21
One of the best places in the bible for a clear Christian strategy is in Nehemiah. There are plenty of others to be sure, but this one shows how well it worked when it was prioritized correctly.

In chapter 2 of Nehemiah we see that every thing we do should be about strategy, provision and planning. Here is how it is mapped out

Expect Opposition

October 11th 2009 20:18
Expecting opposition is a normal part of our spiritual journey. The title of Christian rightfully earned is wrought with tests, trials and tribulations. It is not easy. This is because not everyone will get to go to heaven. Only those that have chosen to remain devoted to God and Jesus Christ through obeying the commandments and teachings. It is vitally important to your spiritual growth to pray about every aspect of your life and bend your will so that you can fully accept His.

3 Steps to Becoming like Nehemiah

October 7th 2009 20:14
As Christians we are to strive to be Christ-like. But this doesn’t happen over night. It is a constant struggle in this evil world. But, we can take baby steps and as we grow by studying the word we can shape many of our thoughts and actions to be like those who have been blessed and worked diligently for God. Here are the 3 things Nehemiah did that helped him become closer to God:
• Cry out to God- we should speak consistently to God. Cry for those in need, in trouble and those consumed by wicked ways.
• Confess Sins- when Nehemiah confessed he did not point his finger at all of those he saw being sinful nor did he only confess his personal sins. Instead he confessed on behalf of everyone and included himself as a sinner. However, when praying to God we should each day ask for forgiveness of our own sins. When praying for others we should include ourselves and not merely point our finger. We should share the responsibility

Nehemiah was a Patriot

October 4th 2009 20:11
When Reading the book of Nehemiah it is easy to see how he was considered a patriot. This is a book that can be easily applied to every day life and various lessons can be learned by every single person. The very definition of a patriot is a person that has a great concern for their nation and the people of that nation. We can learn through reading chapter one of Nehemiah that we can all be a Christian patriot. We should be committed to honoring God and His divine laws. Our priorities should be as follows:
• Loyalty to God
• Loyalty to Country

on Convinced that Rifka Bari is safe...

I agree with you. This is getting out of hand. I CAN NOT believe that the judge ordered that girl back. "Honor killings" are a staple in the Islam faith. That was appalling!!!!!

I think too many people are wrapped up in being politically correct than they are in the harsh realities of life.

on LIE: Jesus was ALL about Love and Forgiveness

August 4th 2009 22:25
Well Samaritan, again, this is where we disagree. You see scripture says we are to look at our own sins but we are also to help others as well. If someone is clearly doing something that is outside the will of God but claims to be a Christian we need to explain what the problem is and how they can correct it. Just as we should welcome if a fellow Christian came to us with sins that they have seen us commit. This is called fellowship, love and encouragement. It is the same principle that if a neighbors house was on fire would you not tell them to get out? If a Christian or a believer in God is sinning we need to love them enough to remind them that their actions will keep them from eternity in heaven and they are working to spend an eternity apart from God.

We are to stand up against lies when ever the opportunity presents itself. These are tests and it measures what kind of Christian we are. When a person is living a lie and suggesting that they are allowed to sin as much or as often as they wish and they are still Christians and it won't matter to God, then that is a lie. We must defend God and His laws if we bear the title of Christian. Remember we are to bear the cross not just the title.

August 4th 2009 22:04
Thank you for the comments. I am so sorry to hear that Lester. Remember, we all run into troubles and mockers when we are on the right track in life -we can not be silenced when standing up for God and what is right. We are to persevere regardless and continue our missions. Stay strong, I will pray for you.

on Satan’s Strategy: The Deity of Mankind

August 4th 2009 21:54
yes, this was how it all started Signals.

I'm not sure how this topic turned more political than spiritual.

First, thank you all for commenting and getting involved in this topic.

SL: thank you for your comment but I try not to get political. I just write encouraging posts for Christians that incorporate the world today.

Ruby: Well, in the United States, I am referring to any group that takes a stand for life and is against abortion is typically labeled a hate group by the "politically correct" crowd also known as the liberal left. Also, if a Christian group speaks out against homosexuality or defends the sacred unity of marriage between a man and a woman, they are again classified as a hate group by the same type of people. This is what I was referring to. Of course I understand that you are an avid supporter of both abortion and homosexuality from our past encounters, but Christians are to be opposed of anything that is not Godly or things that are clearly defined as immoral behavior in the bible.

Michael 2: I understand you have political views but this is not a political blog. The post was involving society as a whole not any republican or democrat political issue.

Thank you Kristin for your comment, very true.
