Political Correctness

July 1st 2009 22:45
The bible warns us that we should watch out for people of the world. The deception of sinful people urges us to compromise our principles and morals. We have all had situations in our lives where people would talk us into wavering and they probably said it wouldn’t be a bad thing and maybe even that God would accept the behavior. This most often comes in the form of political correctness which is running rampant in society today.

Scripture reminds us NOT to conform, stand strong, keep to the Word of God and His Laws. Paul warns us of this in his testimony. The key is to be transformed and renew your mind. Read scripture and pray daily.

Scripture:
Romans 3, 5, 10, 12
Titus 2:11-15
Luke 9:23

Christian Living

June 28th 2009 22:42
Christians are called to live a certain way. But, why? The answer lies in the bible. God has redeemed us. We all need to make the choice though to follow Him and His laws. We are supposed to act as living sacrifices. This means we must be good in all that we do. We are to be holy and live our lives acceptable to God.

Don’t be misguided, once you make that choice you will face tribulation. Evil, wicked people hate Christianity. They hate goodness, the fact that people strive to help others, and hold themselves to a high standard.

It is not enough to say we are Christians, if we do not follow His laws and principles then we are merely liars and hypocrites. Following and living by the Word divides the true Christians from the others.

God Bless Our Military

June 24th 2009 22:38
We should always pray for our military men and women. They are fighting for our rights to live free. If you are having trouble thinking of a prayer then perhaps you can find comfort in scripture and let your heart guide your tongue to express your desires to God. He is listening.

• Courage & dependence on God: Psalms 91
• Perseverance: Isaiah 43:2—Deuteronomy 31:6
• Protection from the enemy: Romans 5:1-5
• GOOD leadership: Romans 13:1
• Confidence despite media bias: Psalm 18:31-39
• Support for the families left behind: Romans 1:8-10

Our Governments and Leaders

June 21st 2009 22:34
Our governments are in a lot of trouble. It seems as though with every election the world is going further and further away from God and His Laws. If this is the path that the world chooses - we can not stop them. But we can pray for God to work on the hearts and minds of our leaders or that God removes them completely from staying in positions of power and doing more harm. We need to unite in prayer and do whatever we can to prevent this world from continuing to head into the wickedness and sin that so many are embracing. I for one would rather the end of days come tomorrow than to have the governments keep going as they are and trying to eliminate Christianity and force all people to live in depraved filth where laziness, murder, robbery and sexual immoralities are not only encouraged but are rewarded.

Praying for the Media

June 17th 2009 22:31
Have you seen the deception in the media? Whatever they think the public should know they tell them. No matter the agenda or bias they wish to push on us, it is often very one sided. The media should present the truth, not their version of how they view the situations. They also should not attack people publicly due to their points of view. We should be praying and asking God to continually hold people accountable. Also there should good news and family friendly stories that should be just as important as the worst of the world’s problems.

Philippians 4:8

Praying for the Church

June 14th 2009 22:26
The church needs constant prayer these days. With all of the false religions, church leaders that are using their positions to hurt innocent people and the teachings that are being twisted into politically correct versions. People that have absolutely no desire to truly understand what being a Christian is or intention to live in a Christian manner are getting into church leadership and fellowship simply to spread their wickedness. We need to pray for these wicked individuals to be touched or removed by God. Only then can we have righteous church leadership.

Hypocrites

June 10th 2009 22:18
As most of you know, a hypocrite is someone that says one thing but does another. We have so many of them today in society. In fact, they are at every turn. The type of hypocrite I want to talk about today are the ones that say they are Christians yet do not believe in the Christian morals of scripture. These are individuals that say they love God yet do not live according to His will and His laws.

Most of the reasoning behind why it is they say they are Christians on Sunday in church yet live the rest of their week with contradicting lifestyles is due to their political views. They believe that they should do as they please and only pick and choose what scriptures they want to follow. Here is a wonderful scripture to read: Colossians 2:6-8

Looking around in the world today you can see the problems with the public educational systems. It is a mess. I look at these children that do not have the benefit of going to a school of faith such as private Christian schools and it is alarming. History is being twisted, secular agendas are being forced upon the children and it seems as though nothing of substance is being learned.

This is disturbing. As a result of this type of teaching, there are more self absorbed, egotistical, morbid, irresponsible young adults flooding society. Therefore, we need to spend time praying each day to help bring more enlightened Christians into teaching positions. Perhaps then we will begin to see a loving, caring, hard working and humble flooding of young adults into our world

Dealing with the Economy

June 3rd 2009 22:13
There are such hardships in the world today. People everywhere are suffering due to the economy. Many are being laid off or dealing with other problems through no fault of their own. This is the time for prayer. We need to unite as Christians and pull our voices together. Let’s pray for the Christians that have lost their jobs or those that are suffering. We need to ask God to open resources to Christians so they can take care of themselves and their families, to strengthen Christian so they won’t sacrifice their morals and integrity through the tough times and guide Christians to display humility and love towards others.

Scriptures that can help on this topic

We only have so long on this earth. Every day from the moment of our birth we are getting closer to death. This should prompt people to live the best life that they can. A life that is full of meaning, love, compassion and above all one that is led by the laws and the word of God. But most are so wrapped up in the “I’m going to live forever, who cares when or how I die,” mentality that they live an undisciplined life of sheer wickedness.

But, what if today was your last day on earth? How do you think you would be judged? Is your soul such a simple, insignificant thing to you that you are willing to gamble with the off chance that there is no God to judge your decisions in life? The old excuse of “forgive me, I didn’t know…” is not going to save you. God has made it possible that people are there in your life to share with you the truth, if you choose not to believe it so you can justify your own behavior then that is your choice and you will be held accountable

Excellently put! Thank you for your additions and I hope that people understand and relate to these aspects before adultery destroys what God created as a beautiful thing.

on Liars: Homosexuality (Part Three)

November 8th 2008 01:17
Thank you all for your comments:

AltEd- This is a Christian bible study... which means a study of the bible. The bible and the dictionary both have the clear definition of the term liar in it for you to read. I have heard many peopl say the LIE that the bible never says anything about homosexuality and in fact Jesus would have said that it was okay. This is a LIE. By ALL definitions.

The bible clearly states that it is a sin repeatedly. Secondly, Jesus said that He did not come to get rid of His Father's laws but to fulfill them... and He said "if you love me, you will obey me." I never read that if you feel like commiting a sin, please go right ahead. Or please pick and choose what laws you wish to live by and it will be all good.

It is clear that you choose not to believe and that you are simply here to criticize others for their beliefs. So, if you don't wish to participate in a study to become a good person please leave and live your life as you see fit. We all will be judged one day and if you are ready to defend your lifestyle and believe that you are a righteous individual that needs not, why come here.

There is not much that can be said when the liars are faced with the truth of God's laws.

As for the comment: "I also believe all the laws in the old testament were replaced with one law when Jesus came on the scene: the law of love. " Jesus said in Matthew 5:17 that He did not come to abolish God's laws but to fulfill it. People were using a means of higher punishment for lesser crimes, etc. So he came to teach them to abide in all of His Father's laws but do it with love.

Anonymous~ Again, I am not arguing man's stance on this subject. What is legal and what is not in the eyes of man. This is a bible study and I am speaking what the bible has to say along with what Jesus has taught. And that is that pregnancy is referred to as a gift from God, and that unborn babies are consistently referred to as children, babies, sons and daughters. Never as things unworthy of life.

*The churches will have to deal with being judged for the teaching and preaching that is directly against the bible.

The scipture you quoted is very true but this isn't my first post on this subject and so, I chose to show more scripture on the subject. Those that you mentioned I have used before.

As Christians we are NEVER to condone sin. And, what right do you speak of? The right to murder? Do you also play 'devil's advocate' when a mother drowns her babies in a bath tub, or when a husband shoots his children on a rampage? If not, why then? Because it is wrong to murder? The same applies to abortion. You see we all have the "right" to do as we please. It is called free will. One murder is not bigger or smaller than another. If you condone sin then you condone it for man's sake and to be liked by men instead of standing up for what God has deemed right and wrong to be loved by God.

You said, "I do not presume to force my beliefs and measures on anyone else." Again Christians do not worry about what man thinks only what God thinks and we follow Jesus daily. We are commanded by Jesus to go out into the world and teach what is right and what is wrong in the eyes of the Lord.

You might consider your mission here to be noble, and it may well be in the eyes of man, but Christians are to worry first about their mission from God to teach His laws. We are "to be in the world but not of this world" which means we are to live by God's standards and if man's conflict with His laws we are to choose a side. We can not serve two masters. We either serve God or serve man. There is no middle ground as the bible points out several times. You have chosen yours and I have chosen mine.

SL~Thank you for being respectful and for your comments.
