Fear not...

I do not encounter insomnia as much as you, but when I do - the next day is either hell or hilarious. It's always a toss up ...

And as for the informercials ... they sure do look tempting at 4am, don't they!?

Ok - good catch -

Let the previous characters be who they are, and forever be portrayed that way.

Really Long Link

I found it on youtube - very interesting, but a very great Batman short...

I understand the idea behind recycling...

Just come up with something new!

DC must have come up with more than 7 or 8 villians...

If not - MAKE NEW ONES.

Let Jack be The Joker - let Tommy be Two-Face, and let Danny be The Penguin.

on Which actor is the best Batman?

April 24th 2007 13:26
Although all of you pose a good point, I'm going to stick with the man who started it all.

Something about his voice when he spoke chilled me when he was Batman. Keaton is by far the best.

As for Kilmer - I'm a huge fan of his. His portrayal of Jim Morrison was right on point (I've been a fan of The Doors for years, even did reports in high school on them). As for Bruce Wayne - yep - perfect! The stuck up billionare with nothing on his mind but improving his business was amazing.

Clooney - joke. 'Nuf said.

Bale - not bad. His ruggedness seemed to be perfect for the part. As for the movie itself - it could have been that I was sick, but I actually fell asleep during it. Maybe it wasn't enough?

To summerize my small rant of each Batman -

Keaton. By far.

The first will always be the best.

And another thing - KEEP THE VILLIANS AS THEY ARE. Jack Nicholson, Tommy Lee Jones and Danny DeVito will always be The Joker, Two-Face, and The Penguin. You can't change that - I highly doubt the new actors will portray the villians listed above as well as the three men I listed will be very short in comparison.

Ok - I'm done now.

You all have a good point...

However, if we're going to create a new movie with the loved character Batman, get some new villians.

Was it not Tim Burton who created Michael Keaton and Jack Nicholson in a very dark and confusing adaptation of Batman?

What about Danny DeVito as The Penguin - Batman Returns was also dark.

It wasn't until Batman Forever when it began to be a bit more show-ey...but Tommy Lee Jones as Two-Face - killer!

As I said in the beginning - bring a new Batman to the theaters - go ahead! But, bring new villians into the movie!

Personally, I can't wait for a new Batman.

However, PICK NEW VILLIANS!

The Joker, The Penguin, and Two-Face have already been played by outstanding men.

Get new ideas......

What is the point!!!

Watch these movies if you want to know more...

Batman
Batman Returns
Batman Forever

Sound familiar??? Michael Keaton and Jack Nicholson played Batman and The Joker, not some recreation.

Micheal Keaton and Danny DeVito played Batman and The Penguin. Again, not some younger, better version.

And it gets better - Val Kilmer, Tommy Lee Jones and Jim Carey played Batman, Two-Face (Harvey Dent) and The Riddler.

Let these men be who they have forever been branded as - the kick @ss villians from the ORIGINAL Batmans!!
