Trip To India

Hello Everyone....
I wanted to tell you about my friend, Rhoda, who teamed up with TeenMania ministries. She has just spent six weeks in India, sharing the love of God with thousands.
She had an amazing experience. After sharing the message many people reached out for salvation. She personally witnessed and documented two major miracles: a blind man received his sight, and a woman crippled with rheumatiod arthritis became healed. This woman was so happy to be free she danced throughout the town!
Rhoda got to help break the ground for a new church that was being planted by a local pastor. She got to aid in teaching children. She preached at services and was able to pray for people. Many people gave their lives to God. She has come back changed and renewed.
She brought back stories and videos that were amazing. The people are so hungry there... one lady told the story:
She had received Christ years ago. She was the only one in her village that was not Hindu or Muslim. She had prayed and prayed for other Christians to come to her village to share the news of Jesus. She was afraid to share, since she was a woman and the persecution within her village could be fierce. Earlier, she had gotten married to a Hindu man and gotten pregnant. She prayed to a Hindu god for a safe pregnancy. She had a miscarriage. Three other times she had gotten pregnant, all with the results of a miscarriage.
"I prayed to Buddha, I prayed to another Hindu god, I prayed to Mohammed. Everytime my baby died. But then I remembered I had my Bible hidden. I got it out and I read it. I prayed very hard for God to keep this baby safe. And He heard me. I have a four year old daughter now."
And she did. She has the most beautiful little girl you could ever see. Having her little girl to love and hold in her arms only fueled the fire, and she began to pray fervently for God to send someone to her village. And that person was Rhoda!
Rhoda came to her village in July, along with the TeenMania crew and shared the love of God with them. The entire village was saved and is now in the process of raising a church there.
Stories like this always touch my heart and I am so thrilled to know that I actually had a part in it by sowing seeds with Rhoda, both by prayer and with money. I may never meet these people on earth, but I will be so happy to see them in Heaven.
I would also like to say how extremely proud of Rhoda I am. She has been through an amazing journey, with no comforts we would expect in overseas travel. She has come out of it stronger, more passionate, and more on fire than ever before. I look forward to seeing where God takes her on her journey with Him, and whose lives she touches. Go Rho!
