Travis went to the Vet. You can already tell that something happened there since I am posting this post up. He was due to get some shots and Travis is usually good with strangers since all he wants is attention. He ended up peeing all over the doctor and in the room in which embarrassed me that he would do that, but I do realize that he was very scared of needles. He must take after many of his family members since I am not a big fan of them as well. Then he came home and was so excited to see the house that he went upstairs and peed on the comforter on the bed. Then he proceeded to chew on his toy in which he his teething hurt him so much he began to bleed on his toy since he bit down so much. Travis had a very rough day. Hopefully tomorrow will be better.
Today, Travis got a treat as we took him over to my in-laws house where he gets to play with his grandparents and their dog, Windsor. While we were there, Travis decided to steal sandals, jump on the table to steal food, and stole our nephew's toys out of his basket in order to play with them on multiple occasions. Even after all of that, he took a nap while we were watching tv and snuggled on me during the nap. That nap gave him enough energy to be running around like a maniac during the first quarter of the Bengals-Cowboys preseason football game as he was doing his beagle howl since no one was paying attention to him. He slept the entire way home and is currently laying on my pillow waiting to go to sleep.
Little does he know that tomorrow, he is going to the Vet for some routine shots. That should be interesting.
If you couldn't have figured it out yet, Travis is our family dog. He is a beagle-doxon mix in which my wife, Kristin, and I rescued on September 13, 2009. Presently, Travis is a year and a half old and we have already been blessed with almost one full year of him. He literally is the best/worst dog. This morning, Travis woke me up by having a nightmare in which he began to run in his sleep. Travis sleeps with us every night and that usually means he is on top of me. He started licking his paws in which we told him not to then jumps on me again so that I can rub his belly. As I am writing this, he is at the window watching everyone and wagging his tail hoping that someone will come up to play with him. You are probably wondering where the worst comes up?
Travis doesn't use a crate anymore since it took him 2 months to chew through it to freedom. We have to "Travisproof" the house when we leave since he likes the taste of sandals and DVDs. Yes, he likes dvds. He has knocked down blinds, dug a hole in the backyard to chase the neighbors cat, eat some of our 4 year old nephews clothes and destroyed many of our possessions.
With all of that I still out not give him up for the world. I'll keep you updated on any new crazy stuff he does as we go on.
