Travelers need to play it smart in what comes down to thefts at airports. Some lack the intelligence to realize that terrorism aside, the common criminal walks among us. They make it too easy for a criminal to rob them while they are in the restroom. They leave luggage unattended near a stall while they are in an awkward position. Think if you aresitting down doing your business and your luggage or coat is easily accesible, you are an easy target. Don't get it? Perhaps that is an advanced topic of a future blog!
When you arrive at the baggage claim turnstyle, take note. Perhaps before you grab your luggage and walk away to get home maybe you should pause and check your luggage content. Baggage handlers tend to slam luggage like that gorilla on an American Tourister luggage commercial. You have only a few hours to claim damaged goods to the airlines for reimbursement.
Now you can also include lost or stolen items by baggage handlers to your list of travel to do lists. This also includes our friendly neighborhood TSAs! This is one of those cockroach theories where if you find one there are thousands others.
