Travel is the stuff of the gods!
As the sun rises on my second day in the UK I sit tapping away and listening to a few birds chirping outside in the fresh morning air. It`s chilly but the snow has melted - perhaps we will see some next week when I go further north to visit a few relatives.
I won`t be posting too many travel blogs on this one... it gives me an excuse to use my domain, which is a TRAVEL site, so if you care to keep up with the travels I have posted the first one here
It`s WONDERFUL to be travelling again. My body feels alive and my mind clear. The cherry trees were blooming in Japan and flying over the north of Asia was just ioncredible - it really made me realise how big the earth is - flying for around 10 hours at about 500 miles an hour over NOTHING... wasteland, But beautiful, beautiful scenery, like you have never seen before. But that will come later.
All I can say is thank goodness I never landed at the new Heathrow Terminal! What a joke!

Yes made it safe and sound... although still struggling with the jet lag and adjusting to the new time difference - although i dont mind sitting up till the wee hours letting it all filter in. Flying into London was great - first time i have really seen it properly from the air as I have never had a window seat before! wooo hoooo!

Yes, that was the flight path that we had and it was absolutely spectacular. As it`s end of winter now there was ice and snow dusting the mountains and frozen rivers.... spectacular!

ooohhhh sorry! You still have time - just make sure you dont land at Terminal 5 at Heathrow. Im not sure if you are getting the news over there but it`s an absolute joke - in the past 3 days nearly 300 flights have been cancelled and 15000 bags are lost in the system!
