Transfer gossips

June 16th 2011 22:08
It is now been officially posted on the Manchester United website: 20 year old Portuguese winger has been loaned to Turkish side Besiktas for the forthcoming 2011-2012 campaign. The 20-year-old forward, who joined United from Portuguese outfit Vitoria de Guimaraes last August in a deal reported to be worth 7 million pounds ($11.3 million), made only seven first-team appearances.
With Blackburn defender Phil Jones having already agreed for a five year deal with the current Barclays Champions for an estimated fee of $20m, the Brisitsh side are now turning their attention to two other players namely, Croatian wizard and Tottenham playmaker, Luka Modric and Udinese Chilean winger Alexis Sanchez. It has been reported by the British tabloid about both Chelsea and Manchester City’s keen interests in Modric and Tottenham Hostpur owner, Daniel Levy has already refused a $25m offer from Chelsea and reportedly said that a more considerable offer of around $50m would be worth considering. But the main actor of this whole situation remains the oil-rich owners of Manchester City who are closely monitoring the situation and are rumored to be preparing a $45m bid for the Croatian midfielder.
Concerning A. Sanchez who was closely linked with Barcelona since last week and had reportedly agreed to join them, the sudden interest from Manchester United and rival Manchester City have sprung a surprise and Barcelona who are still very much interested in landing Arsenal captain C. Fabregas, are finding it more difficult to agree on a transfer fee which would satisfy the Italian club Udinese. A reported fee of around $50m may well be enough to land the Chilean winger.
Lastest gossips from the MUFC website include: Samuel Eto'o who apparently fancies the new challenge of proving himself in England as well as a £10million bid for 18-year-old French defender Raphael Varane according to Talksport.
Elsewhere keeper D. De Gea has been quoted as saying that he is really impressed that he has been tipped as the replacement of the great Van Der Saar and argues that it would take a lot of hard work and training to attain such world class experience. It is believed that the reported $25m fee has already been agreed between English side Manchester United and Atletico Madrid.
Rumours concerning the transfer of Arsenal‘s French player Samir Nasri to Manchester United are still very much present even if manager A. Wenger is quite reluctant to see him play for another rival side.
Meanwhile Liverpool’s rebuilding under K. Dalglish continues with relegated side Blackpool star player being linked to a transfer to the Merseyside club.

Finally, Brazil teenager and whiz kid Neymar has been linked with most of the top clubs in Europe. After Chelsea, Barcelona, Real Madrid and and Manchester City all rumoured to have shown keen interests, it is now the turn of Italian giant Inter Milan to get into the race. Following their disastrous 2010-2011 campaign where they managed to retain only one trophy of their previous Treble winning season in 2010, it has now been rumoured that President M. Moratti is now keen on improving his image and the firepower of Inter Milan in order to be able to compete against current champions holders and rival AC Milan and their striking power of A.Pato, Robinho and Z. Ibrahimovic.
