I am strong minded, have an opinion on everything. passionate about our world and my family.
I love "girly" psoessions, but not the girly bimbo talk.
I really do believe we can change the world with our talk. The more blogs the better!
I have a prosthetic disc in my spine and permanent nerve damage which has left me with a disability. I need assistance with walking and many other daily duties. I am on lots of medication which clouds my mind. There are days or moments where I can't find the right word, or forget with I was talking about. It can be funny at times!!

Environment Damaging Companies

March 27th 2007 23:51
We all know that industry is slower and more hesitant to protect our world, our environment.
Unfortunately it is the individual, the communities that are doing the hardest work in this area.
Protecting our world isn’t just some “Greenie” thing anymore, it’s about survival, and it’s about caring for our world.
In our personal lives, morals such as respect, caring for loved ones, caring for ourselves, our possessions, and others – all rate highly in concluding that a person is of good character. Yet we don’t have the same ideals for our environment.
Slowly things are beginning to change, individuals, couples, families and small groups are all taking the opportunity to make some changes.
I must say I am concerned that the gestures are just that, gestures. Many of us seem to be changing, yet we then turn around and go for a drive just because or throw away items that could be recycled or composted or even buying shares in companies that are ripping our world to shreds.
I started to go off track just then. The real purpose for this item is to highlight the issue of companies world wide insisting on destroying the world we live in just because of the material possessions, the life-style we all demand.
If the demand wasn’t there, then the companies would have to listen, they would change because we have demanded that.
It’s simple to make these changes. I have highlighted some in an earlier blog:
Buy local produce
Insist on environmentally friendly items
Buy shares in companies that are making the changes
Don’t support brown coal trading
Change your power supply to energy efficient sources.

Those that can afford to trade shares can make a real impact on our world. If you don’t purchase shares from uranium miners, oil trader, brown coal miners and traders, and of course, the companies that use these resources, then you will make a difference, you will be a powerful voice in making the changes to the world that are urgently needed.

Do you remember the Exon Valdese oil spill out in the ocean where images were broadcast of innocent animal covered in oil and dying?? In it’s time, it was the largest oil spill in the world. Did you know since then there have been around 200 bigger spills? Yes, bigger! They don’t even make the headlines anymore and nobody even blinks about it.
If industry changed its ways, seriously developed better ways of production, then the demands for oil will reduce substantially, this will then create a positive domino effect on the environment, there will be less oil spills, less omissions and less hard to the world.

Who knows, uniting for a common cause may, over time even bring more peace to our world. Imagine living in our world knowing it is healthy and peaceful at the same time………….

AUSTRALIA

March 20th 2007 21:11
.......................is the highest user, per person of water in the world.

What a terrible thing to be the highest at!

Australia is also one of the highest, if not THE highest user and exporter of BROWN COAL, this type of coal is used for producing cheap, nasty energy. Chances are, if you have electricity thats not sourced from GREEN ENERGY, then you are also contributing to the environmental pollution, global warming that BROWN COAL produces.

GREEN ENERGY costs so much because the demand isn't there yet and because GOVERNMENTS refuse to let go of some of their CHEAP and NASTY $$$$$$..

Dirty Money is NEVER Good Money.

COME ON AUSTRALIA, GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER!

40 HOUR DROUGHT

March 19th 2007 00:05
19/03/07
Now, this is a great idea!
Based on the traditional 40 Hour Famine, the “40 HOUR DROUGHT” asks us to take a serious look at our water usage and what it's doing to our world and our environment.

In a nutshell, during the 40 hour period, you are allowed to use 40 litres of water ONLY.

ABC Australia have organised the 40 HOUR DROUGHT for 7 am Wednesday 21st March till 11pm Thursday 22nd March.

I encourage everyone to participate in this opportunity, not only will it help our environment for the 40 hour period, it may also encourage us to look harder at what we are doing.

Although registering is optional, I encourage you to do so, go to the following link:

Really Long Link

…. No long showers, no forgetting to turn the back sprinkler off, no dishwasher and especially no wasting water during this time…come on! It can’t be that hard, more and more people, FAMILIES are forced to live like this - and worse.

Don’t forget to spread the word about this, we only have a couple of days, so copy and paste this link to all in our address book.

How did you go?
I am ashamed to say our house failed dismally.
I am so treeibly embarrassed by this. I thought it would be easy for us to do. We are so great at conserving water, recycling where we can and truly enjoying it.
For 2 days prior to the start date, we had rain in our area..a drourgh for years and It rains for 2 days right now! We had a huge basket of washing and I wasn’t too stressed thinking we would get by. Next thing my daughter gets sick with bronchitis and must have caught an extra bug as she needed to spend most of the night in the toilet. So then there was the accident in her bed and in her pyjamas – more washing and this is the sort of washing that can’t just sit for a few day, and of course, the shower in the middle of the night and the next morning, so in the first 12 hours I failed. The next day, being so tired from caring for my sick daughter and washing all day, I overflowed the kitchen sink – I never do this! I just walked away and forgot about what I was doing.
If there were a worse case experience this would be it.
I am sure you know how I feel with this, I was so excited and desperately wanted to support such a great cause and it just didn’t work.
I am not going to let this stop me from making an effort every day and I do know I have to create ways of dealing with such situation which will still conserve water and protect our environment.

School Advice

March 10th 2007 03:09
Love him or hate him, he sure hits the nail on the head with this! To anyone with kids of any age, here's some advice.

(Allegedly) Bill Gates recently gave a speech at a High School about 11 things they did not and will not learn in school. He talks about how feel-good, politically correct teachings created a generation of kids with no concept of reality and how this concept set them up for failure in the real world

FOOD -Buy Local/Grow your own

March 10th 2007 02:51
Reducing Co2 emissions, protecting our environment, saving fuel, reducing costs, insisting on quality and striving for a better world are all things we are working hard to do, it's just so difficult to get Governments and Industry to stop, look and listen to the earth, listen to the people.

One REALLY BIG way of reducing CO2 emissions etc is changing the food we eat. Yes, i know, this sounds strange, but it's a really powerful way of changing the environment

virus warning

March 2nd 2007 01:55
Here is one of those emails warning of corrupt messages sent via the email system.
Although these could very well be a genuine warning (who knows!) they create a nuicance in themselves and become a virus. First it is send to 10, people, then 100, then, 10000 and so on. It spreads and spreads just like genuine viruses do.

UTube - Fraud PAY TV SCam

March 2nd 2007 01:39
U Tube is such a wondrous source of entertainment, unfortunately it is also a place where people can scam you and waste your time completely.

Below is a link to one of the YouTube postings. Basically it is a guide on how to get 'free' Google TV Beta, which seems to be a form of Pay TV on your PC

on crappy day

February 26th 2007 01:01
Hello David,
Thank you for your comment.
i gues there is a few things, yes satisfying my husband is mostly an issue that is circling around in my head but it is also a real topic that i have spoken to my husband about. Being a beautiful, gentle man, he has no problems at all and said to me "isn't it obviuos that i'm happy?" Yes, he is happy, although it is different he also said ther is one good thing, he gets to have me right where he wants me and I wont change it on him or move around too much. I do have to laugh about this.
You know, after all that I still have concerns and yes fears. Is it because I'm just being insecure and silly? probably, but I can't help it. I know that my husband married me and fell in love with me for many reasons, but much of this has changed now, which means he has to love me for different things. Becuase most of us dont like change too much and we know what we like sexually and what we don't like, this has changed and perhaps there is a lot that has been taken away from him and of course from me as well. Facing the fear reagrding sex isn't easy. we can face it once or twice, but if the fear is greater than that, talking is only one step, well for me it is anyway.
I have so many other questions and concerns, some days it's worse than others, but I will get through it, I have to.
I want all of you t put yourselves in my position for a moment.
You are in a very long term relationship, in this time you and your partner have explored sexually and have learnt what you like and don't like and perhaps what you may like to try in the future. Every part of the sex is good, very good.
Then, all of a sudden, the rules have changed, there are many restrictions, you can no longer move around the bed, change positions, have different roles depending on the mood of each party. Even being spontaneous and having a bit of a play is different and not as frequent. The pain in your back and legs increases and is sometimes thru the roof. You try to hid this from your partner, but you can see on his face that he knows and feels bad.
How does this make you feel?
Do you think you will be able to adjust?
Will it matter if this is the way it will be forever?
Now, put yourself in my partners position and ask the same questions.
You see my concerns are geniune and realistic. Yes, some days they are overboard, but I'm only human and a female after all..LOL!
Thank you for giving some good advice.

This is a fraudulent email and very common.
It is similar to the "you have won the lottery" emails often received.

It is a good idea for you to visit fraudwatchinternational.com
this site will provide a world of information fo you.

Kind regards,
