Today's Triumph of the Slut

Alright, after a five day break off, Anthoric the Angry is back. Firstly, a few words. Today's topic will be a mature one, also it will be fairly long. (Hopefully, -laughs-). I also would not doubt that I will piss a few folks off with this one. In the case that I do, I'm going to say that you are on the wrong side of the fence. On the subject of rants, I am happy to see that my last to got a surprising amount of votes. (Seriously, I was expecting next to nothing). My thanks go out to my readers and I hope you keep coming back for more. One last little note is that at the end of this rant, I will discuss an idea that I have been toying with, so stick around. With all that said and done, let's jump into the pool! (-Flips on angry switch-)

In this day and age, sex is what sells; anything for that quick buck. (Or should I say fuck?) Sexuality is part of human life. The fact that we have to reproduce and keep the population going should clearly state that. That's all part of nature and all part of the great cycle of things. Nothing at all wrong there. However, we as humans, are overdoing this, in every way possible. From the prostitute to the general overpopulation, it seems human sexuality has gotten a bit out of hand. Don't misread me here, most of this stuff is bound to happen and has been going down for years. It's more of the fact that everything is being overdone, abused and taken advantage of even. What I'm really getting at here is today's triumph of the slut. It seems the world went from condoning mass and public sexualization to promoting all of it.
Let me jump into the kernel of all this. I have no problem with human sexuality. Even a bit of business dosen't bother me. (After all, lonely guys do need their porn and lonely girls do need their dildos). The problem is the idolization of she-sluts and man-whores alike. The problem is that it's no longer a private or secretive life. The problem is we idolize those who go out and try to screw all they can and don't have two ounces of self respect. People who don't know how to say no, or don't learn form the mistakes they make. The people who don't care,m even with the overpopulation, the STD epidemic, and the like. The people who take the give of truly giving yourself to someone for granted. That's what I have a problem with.
I seriously cannot understand why people do this. From what I gather it's been going on (albeit slowly adding up to the state it is now) from the sex revolution of the sixties and seventies. I can understand if you wanna show off a bit, but there is a damn limit. I can understand if you make a mistake, or were misguided, or whatever. However, if you don't learn from it, or try to improve yourself, the experience truly does nothing for you. I do wonder what is so great about screwing strangers and taking all the risks. For those that don't see what the big deal is; let me delve into a page from the life of Anthoric the Angry to tell you a story. Hopefully then you will see the picture.
There was a girl that I went to high school with, whom my sophomore year I had gotten on good trms with. She was a sweet and pretty girl, nice as could be. She seemed to have her head on straight and seemed to know what she was doing. Every time she saw me she would give me a hug. I even developed a bit of a crush for her. Jump forward to my junior year. Things with her continued to be the same, expect the fact I killed the crush I had on her. At one point I learned she was dating some guy and had 'given herself' to him. From waht I gathered she didn't know him but for about a month or two. It really disappointed me. I thought she was better than that. Fromt hat point on, every time she tried to hug me, I pushed her away. Soon I wouldn't even look her in the eyes. Eventually I cut off contact. Going downt he road I leanred a few more things, they made me even more sick. The last thing I heard about her was the fact that she liked to go to partied and be tired up nude, blindfolded, and have a bunch of random guys do whatever they damn want to her. It kills me to see that she went form a sweet girl with her head on straight to some demented fucktoy.
Jumping back to the rant here, this is not the first time I've heard of something such as this. It really sickens me. Girls who pass themselves around to be used by guys and the guys being dumb enough to use them. Neither one having any self respect or thought. I've seen it so much now that these people are not human to me. They are nothing. They are playthings for others. They have no worth at all.It's kind of sad when an epidemic kills the emotion in you. We're really abusing the ability to have sex. Just like we abuse the ability to lie, or to kill.
Some of you may argue that this has been going on throughout history. Let me state something. Firstly they didn't have as many STDs as we do now, nor was their a population crisis. On top of that, most of it was kept under wraps, not told to everybody and their mother.
Sometimes I think sexuality is a double edge sword, in more ways than one. Yes sex itself is a nice experience and can help to continue the race, but at the same time there are risks. On top of that, sexuality in general, whether it be locked up or spread across the world, will be met with oppression because of the views on it. I say that it is a gift, and that we are not to abuse it.
My bottom line is: You can utilize whatever you wish, just don't abuse it.
Now to jump off the rant train and get into what I mentioned at the beginning. That idea I've toyed with. As you know I am one pissed off guy, and I'm sure there are things that piss you off as well. In a way yes I feel the same. It's the 'shove it in your face and make you eat it' attitude with some of the people that I don't like, as well as what you mentioned. People using it for things like rape and prostitution and whatnot.

It's both really. The world at large as well as what I've seen personally. The STD thing, both, the number of infected plus the varieties. As for the rumors thing, rumors around where I live are about 90% true. Not joke. Even some made up junk, parts of it is bound to be true. Also, yes my whole view is based on more hardcore evidence, I feel I may not have presented it all here. That last bit is a bit of a joke, but at the same time is a moral. I mean, you are free to do what you wish, but as for some things that you do, keep them to yourself, cause I don't care much to hear about it. The joke is that I;m and angry guy and the joke implied is don't do something and tell me, for I might rant about it. That last bit is just a joke.

So yeah, maybe we will just have to agree to disagree on this point about 90% of the 'rumours' where you live being true… but hey maybe I’m wrong, for all I know you could be living on a deserted island in the middle of the arctic circle.
Anyhoo, I'd still be interested in ready some more 'facts' should you add to this post at some point.
