To Chain or Not to Chain

Anyone who lives in a place that gets snow understands the chain laws in their own area. I cant help but wonder why chain laws arent the same everywhere. In some states, the signs lite up and tell you that you have to have chains, even though the road has been plowed and it isnt icy. You can get a ticket for not chaining up even tho you dont really need to. Sometimes, the roads will be closed if theres enough snow. In some states, nobody uses chains, even when they should. Since I hate putting on chains, I usually just park the truck and take a nap instead. Sooner or later, theyll get the road cleared and I can get going again. Its April already and still snowing here and there. But before long itll be warming up and Ill find something else to gripe about. Like a heat wave.
