Tips for Saving money while travelling (LINK)

Okay if you are travelling on a tight budget here are some handy tips that you can try on your trip.
Take as much free food as you can. Say for instance if you are staying at a hotel/hostel/Bed and breakfast, and breakfast is included try and take some bread, yoghurt, jam sachets etc. You will find that you will use these on day trips and save yourself a good amount of money especially in those more expensive locations like Paris and London. Another good thing, when your at resturants/cafes, take the ketchup sachets and if they have complimentary tea bags, or coffee take these aswell, you never know when you will want a coffee and there are no facilities around. You might feel a bit dodgy but there are better things to spend you money on.
Most major tourist desitnations have Passes that will allow you into most attractions. These passes can last one day or up to 1 week. These passes, if you intend to do alot of attraction seeing, are a good money saver. For example there is a New York City pass that you can get that allows you to get into major attractions like Empire State builing, NY skyride, Central Park Zoo, Statue of Libery Ferry cruise, Chrysler building, City Hall Radio, etc and it also offers discounts on broadway tickets, shopping outlets, food and fine dining, for those Seinfield fans it gives you directions to the soup nazi (best soup in the world). etc.
If you want to have a look at some of these passes i have listed the web addresses below
Really Long Link (New York)
http://www.londonpass.com (London)
http://www.paris-pass.com (Paris)
Really Long Link (Los Angeles)
Really Long Link (Montreal)
http://www.gochicagocard.com (Chicago)
just to name a few.
Another way of saving money is to do a bit of research before you leave. Look at things like transport costs, if there are any deals that you can take advantage of, for example a weekly train pass. You might be able to purchase a train pass that will give you unlimited travel in the main area you wish to see. Have a look at the attractions that you want to see aswell before you leave to see if they have any upcomming deals or specials.
Check out last minute deals on hotels. This can save you money and you can land some pretty good accommodation for a good price. I have included a link that is good value and is not just last minute deals.
Anyway thats all for today
Good Luck
