Tiny Terror
INT. Library. Day
Over BLACK we hear the crunching of someone eating
fade to:
A giant hand comes into frame and takes a Tiny Teddy from a small pile on the table, away from us. DELBERT is sitting at a desk reading a book and idly munching on Tiny Teddies. He flicks through some pages of his wildlife book and gets up to put it back on the shelf. He browses the nearby bookshelves, grabs a book and moves back to his original position. Delbert reads his book for a few beats and then realizes that something is wrong, he turns to see if someone is behind him and turns back when he discovers he is alone. Delbert looks down at the Tiny Teddy packet and we register his astonishment that the Teddies have been arranged to spell "coming for you". Delbert whips around to see who is behind him, and see no one.
Delbert
Is someone there? Who is it!
Delbert whips back around to discover the new arrangement of the Tiny Teddies that now spells out "soon". We hear a faint suggestion of a whisper that causes Delbert to quickly turn around.
DELBERT
Please, where are you?
Delbert grabs his forehead, like he has a massive brain freeze.
DELBERT
AHH...AHHH..My head! Who is...AHH...Stay out of my head!
He dives into an isle and creeps along trying to stay out of sight of anybody who might come along. He glances up and spots a Tiny Teddy standing on one of the shelves facing him.
DELBERT
You can't hurt me, you're a biscuit.
Suddenly a book falls out of the shelf and hits Delbert on the top of his head. We see the space the book used to occupy and discover a Tiny Teddy standing there. Freaked out, Delbert runs from the library.
INT. Front Desk of library. day
Delbert skids up to the desk panting for breath.
DELBERT
I need some (gasp) help.
The RECEPTIONIST looks worried
Receptionist
Whats wrong!
DELBERT (out of breath)
(gasp)...someone......followi ng me(gasp)...Non fiction..Tiny Teddies.....(gasp)..trying..t o...in my head!
He gives makes a face like this should of explained it. The receptionists previous look of panic is replaced with a look of annoyance.
receptionist
OH....well is suppose you want me to call the golliwog police.
Delbert doesn't get the joke. He hardly even notices that the receptionist no-longer cares.
DELBERT
What! No the normal police will do.
RECEPTIONIST
Look just go away. I don't have time for this.
Delbert looks utterly crushed
DELBERT
But..
RECEPTIONIST
(interrupts) GO!
Delbert slumps away.
Fade to black:
INT. LIBRARY. later in the DAY
fade in:
Delbert appears in the doorway of the library with a stern look on his face. He pushes is way through the door and makes for the area we first saw him in. But on the way he is laying down mouse traps in different places around the library. Delbert comes towards us and hides behind a low bookcase/desk and peeks over the top. He lies with his back to the desk and starts to read a book when we hear a sharp snap. With an astonished look on his face he moves quickly (but warily) towards where the sound came from. Moving closer we see that he has chopped a Tiny Teddy in half with one of the traps. We notice (but Delbert doesn't) a Tiny Teddy standing on the top of one of the shelves. It throws its self off in the direction of Delbert and lands in his throat. Delbert gives a look of surprise and confusion and falls to the ground coughing. Eventually he stops moving and we soon see his legs as he is dragged behind a bookcase. After many moments of silence a person walks through the door of the library and begins to browse near the table with the Tiny Teddies on it. We hear a light sneeze that causes the Browser to turn around and look at the table.
Browser
Oh, Tiny Teddies, I love these
We see a evil looking Tiny Teddy's smiling face loom up extremely large on screen and we...
