This Storm Has Screwed Me Up
August 31st 2011 17:00
Since Tropical Storm Irene hit on Saturday I have had no power. Which means no ESPN, Fox sports, NBATV, NFL Network, MLB Net or NHL. No Big Ten Network, Comcast sports or MASN. And DirecTV has given me three free months of sports channels. I can't even get that. I listened to the Orioles play the Yankees on the radio Monday night and when I'm in my car I listen to sports talk radio which I hardly ever do. In other words, I'm in the dark and out of the loop. And it's affecting my writing.
I have no idea what happened in the NFL last weekend if it happened after Friday. I do know that Michael Vick and the Eagles agreed to a $100 million contract.
I heard some stats read during the O's-Yankees game and was like 'Curtis Granderson has how many home runs?'
The Little League World Series? Didn't a team from California beat a team from Japan?
I do know that there was a charity basketball game played in Baltimore on Tuesday which featured Lebron James, Carmelo Anthony, Kevin Durant and John Wall. From what I hear it was great.
I have no idea who is playing whom in college football this week. I know Maryland plays Miami on Monday night and that's it.
Heck, even my high school game schedule has completely changed as all Friday night games have been moved to Saturday night and Monday.
My sports clock is screwed up which has screwed ME up.
We are supposed to get power restored today. If my writing returns to normal you will know whether we did or not.
