Tomorrow: the past hastens its passing

Carried, they can be a burden.
Learnt, they can help future’s way.

The past is not a melting pot
To stir. It has been; listen, close;
Live with the pain of its longing
Only to long for today; here.

Memories lain forgotten long
For centuries, beneath oceans
Where we were lost: with great sorrow
We lived and died; we live again –
Memories; Imagination
Intermingled, faith irons out
The illogical, the dreamings
That let us breathe here together
Again. It is a story borne
Of love, of happiness, of life
Once cherished; art has brought it back
To life; fine art draws together
And stitches closer times long waits
For flowers; pastels draw our love.
