There Goes The Neighborhood

People move to the suburbs to get away from the problems associated with the inner city. But what happens if the inner city invades the suburbs? A possible way to find out is to go to the executive wine growing suburbs of South Africa. This is truly ground zero of this study!
They can handle the wine tourists, but not the uninvited guest that never leave. These executive suburbs are plagued by drunk baboons that eat the grapes. The baboons are also invading outdoor lunches and homes. The 'For Sale' signs are going up fast. Since they can't really kill the monkeys, they rely on primitive means that have no effect to get rid of them. Now they have a three-strikes policy and will kill persistent troublesome baboons.
These baboons have killed a number of animals, but nothing is more comical than the traumatized child...
From the article:
Last week, a 12 year old boy was left traumatised after confronting a troop who had broken into his family home.
Hearing noises from the kitchen, he went to investigate and found the beasts ransacking cupboards. When the child fled upstairs to find his babysitter, three males gave chase and surrounded him as he made a tearful phone call to his mother, while the animals pelted him with fruit.
The child is lucky they didn't like the fruit!
