Theophany Just Right For You

July 12th 2009 09:10
A best friend of mine invited to visit his house for the purpose of listening to a set of speakers he had purchases. Intrigued and curious, I went along to his place to see the setup. The speakers in question were Theophany M5B towers with S3 surrounds coupled to an Onkyo TX SR605 amplifier. Now, having been exposed to many sound systems; be they recording studios, live PA systems. And impressive as the high end equipment is, it has never made me devote entire afternoon to just listening to them, until now…

I spent the entire afternoon enraptured by the sound these Theophany speakers produced, and I have never heard anything quite like it! As a music lover, I listen to music in a more technical (if you can call it that way). I want to hear every nuance of sound from every instrument and by doing so, get inside my head.

Watching band concert on DVD using theophany as your speakers is such an experience because you feel the emotion coming off the stage. With these Theophany speakers, you could easily be mistaken for thinking the musicians are playing live in your living room. The clarity and depth of the sound they produce is awe-inspiring. It is hard to put into words the quality of sound that arrives at your ears. The crash of the wave for example, the smash of sound as a bolt of lightning streaks across and the like are simply stunning to behold.

Theophany speakers have no internal parallel surfaces, even as the cabinets are made with much thicker solid wood panels bent specifically to improve airflow around the speaker. These two factors ensure the elimination of standing waves, which can cause distortion. The use of neodymium drivers ensures faithful reproduction of any sound. This combination of technology and design has produced an extraordinary and excellent auditory experience.

If you are looking to improve your existing home theater, or are buying completely new system, then buying a set of Theophany speakers will be the best buy you’ll make in very long time.
