Supercoach Special

June 14th 2009 11:28
Supercoachers and those just plain and simply interested read on.

Yes, I am at it again, those of you who thought you were rid of me, and liked the idea - lump it, I am back, I think.

As time demanding as it is, Motherhood is Wonderful.

The one thing I have made time for outside of motherhood is AFL and Supercoach. Simply stated: I cannot live without either. Bring on the STATS.

I don't know how i managed to get the trades wrong two years running, but i did. 3 left. Well in my defence, i have been otherwise occupied. I didn't get a chance to get on before the first round to finalise my team. Sounds like whinging I know, here's some more. I'm Ruing the Rich removal. Oh well, there are still plenty of weeks for my Almighty team to get it together.

Well best of luck all you crazy supercoaches! Enjoy.

CheckPoint

Sorry to all the folk who were eagerly awaiting my next installment of footy roundup all those weeks ago. I've had a lot of things cropping. I will say I have had very average tipping rounds on occassion, and some write home weeks. The 8 haul still eludes me, unfortunately. Still loving supercoach when I can get on to it, can't wait for next year's - when I'll be older and wiser - so be looking out people.

Right, run out of time, bye all.

Footy UP

Footy Up

Thursday Night Footy started bad for me given Carlton went down to Richmond. But, it did get better from there when reigning premiers Geelong held on by 9 points against Port. Then Sat my beloved Collingwood did not disappoint. Nor the Sainters in an absolute heart-stopper - keep racking them up Dal Santo

SuperCoach

I just cannot believe how mad keen I am for the Footy Proper to start up. It's pure madness Me and Footy. I've always been a cricket girl (how good were the one day finals?), but this damned Herald Sun TAC SuperCoach Fantasy thingy has me in a stir

Kindred 'The Embraced'

February 11th 2008 03:49
It seems I have rediscovered my voice. And so, I have this for those who would read a little further. A decade or so ago, for I remember not the exact date, John Leekley & Mark Rein-Hagen saw fit to create the TV series Kindred, 'The Embraced.' Thank Zeus for such a thing. It gave us Julian Luna. The show was leanly based on the D D Role Playing Game - Vampire the Masquerade.

Sensational, But Disappointing

October 22nd 2007 04:51
Caulfield Cup: Sensational But Disappointing

The 130th Caulfield Cup should have seen 66 years of hoodoo thwarted by the lightly raced gelding: Maldivian. But, what must have only been minutes before the start, the Zabeel gelding reared at least twice in the barriers sustaining a campaign ending blow. With blood pouring from a gash on his neck, he looked more like a Ranyhyn come from a Kresh attack. Needless to say the Kresh in this instance, being the horse's agitation and a clamp in the barrier. So with blood streaming from the gash, he was lead away saddleless and the Caulfield Cup was the weaker for it. The fave gone, how quickly the Gods turn. Gone too, his chance to prove that he indeed should claim the title of Master. Leaving Kavanagh to walk the long lonely blood trail of what will not be for 2007. And O'reilly took his title, but then I never doubted it once the sensational happened. It left this Maldivian devotee just wanting more

I never sat week in/week out to watch Xena, but I believe I remember seeing KS in an episode or two many many years ago that I did happen to see.

Might be able to catch re-runs on Foxtel.

Kleonpatra - Thank you for showing me he is still thought of. I'll have to google Kevin Smith.

Sylvie - Frankel proved he was more than his image.

Lynne - I would not have continued to watch the show if they had cast another character. The creators knew who was the show. Every part of Kindred grew from Luna/Frankel.

Thanks Girls

I for one have long had a fascination with gargoyles. They have a sublimity which astounds - exquisite even in their grotesqueness.

Enjoyed this, thank you.
