Gun Crime:What the F***

July 16th 2007 19:24
Gun Crime:
What the Fuck!!!

Something happens, hundreds of times a day in the U.S. Something kept under wraps from the general public. The reason why is because it’s actually some thing not happening. Here’s a scenario; guy walks into a gas station and reaches for a gun, he robs the cashier, gets away. You hear about it all the time, because usually people report it. Now here’s another scenario; guy walks into a gas station and reaches for a gun, another guy next to him sees the gun and grabs his gun, guy 1 realizes that he can’t get away, so he puts the gun away and leaves, conflict avoided. But you never hear about it because nothing happens. Just rationalize for a minute, you’re a criminal, would you be as likely to rob a store if you knew that most likely 11 of the 17 people in the store all were caring fire arms. I doubt it. Now I’m not saying let anyone have a gun. I’m saying let law abiding citizen own and/or carry a gun, and punish people who carry and/or own illegal guns harshly. And people always say if you could carry guns everyone would be shooting everyone else, but if I gave you a gun would you start shooting people?

Conquest

April 4th 2007 17:47
Conquest. Why is there no modern conquest in the world? All through history there were countries and their rulers who had the guts or at least the ambition to control territory beyond their own. But the problem is everyone is so afraid of their own god damn shadow and world opinion is such an important factor in the process of decision making that nothing ever changes anymore. Think about it, when was the last time territory was taken by force and kept, the last time civilians were killed and the world wasn’t outraged? The facts are, things have changed, nations aren’t defeated completely anymore instead, treaties are made and nations survive; where is our Alexander, our Genghis Khan, our Augustus, our Attila, our Charlemagne, our Napoleon. Where are these great leaders, strategists with great ambition, leaders able to raise their countries to power? We need these leaders in order to redraw the world map, this time including single empires spanning half the map. When did the change occur; the change that makes so many hollow alliances and nobody willing to fight to achieve dominance in the world.
