The Word Along the Road

Ive been talking to some of my friends lately. Our boss is cutting corners like crazy, trying to save money. Hell let a problem ride until the driver can get it all the way back to the shop rather than get it fixed when it happens. even under waranty! It costs him more in the longrun, but he cant seem to get it. The fuel prices are killing him like so many other small companies. Looks like the days of the independent and small companies are coming to an end. Sad but true. Fuel prices are eating us alive out here.
I heard the truckers in France got together and went on strike. I hope it made them feel better, but I havent heard that it brought the fuel cost down. At this rate there will be a few huge companies and nobody else. The good news about that (for the drivers at least) is that the big comapnies pay more per mile. The bad news is that they limit your miles. Things are fixing to change and not necessarily for the better.
